A pub landlord and landlady have been suspended from their

roles and told they could face the sack for serving big pints of

    beer.

Brewery bosses are said to hae complained that Pete and DebbieGibson did not sere a big enough head on their pints of beer andlager -- meaning there was more to drink.

As such the rm, Samuel Smith, reportedly claim the pair owethem 10,733 in lost stock and ordered to close their Juncon Innpub at Royton, Greater Manchester.

The dispute is based around the idea that customers cannot ex-pect more than 95% of their pint glass to be lled with liquid.

What do you think? Should your pint be lled to the top, or are youhappy with a 5% foamy head.

    De Hooi

    Hello avid reader!

What am I going to write about this me? I had someideas but cant think of what they were at the moment.

I felt the need for this newsleer to be one of those ones

that rambled on about something barely interesng. Facts

about meaningless things or some sort of nostalgia.

Ie been wanng to lose some weight and found this applica -

on for my Android phone that helps count calories. I told it

I wanted to lose a pound a week and Ie been using it for a

week now and Ie lost a pound. So it must be working. Keeps

me from geng too sh*t faced too. Only problem is I get my

daily calories all oer again at midnight. It should start the day

oer again at like 5am. Cool program though for those of you

who are trying to count your calories and shed those Christ-

mas pounds. You just do a search for the food youre eat-

ing or scan the upc and it tells you how many calories it is

and keeps a running track for you. Of course eerybody

laughs at you wheneer you try to do something good

for yourself but I dont care. The name of the app is

mytnesspal and it works for iphone as well.

I think Im going to go make myself a protein shake

with oatmeal, yogurt and some strawberries. An-

other cool thing about that app is if you do cardio

it gies you extra calories but nothing extra for

    strength training.

Guess Ill be taking a bicycle ride to De Hooi shortly, if

it eer stops raining to gain some calories for drinking to-

night. Its been raining prey consistently all day today. Loe the rain.Craing some De Hooi hot chicken wings.

There will be a few new items on our special menu. I added breakfast burritos and tamales. Yum, you should try it out.

Thanks for making De Hooi Southern Jakartas faorite beer joint.

    Cheers,

    HARRY

Punch, or the London Charivariwas a British weekly magazineo humour and satire establishedin 1841 by Henry Mayhew andengraver Ebenezer Landells.

Historically, it was most inuentialin the 1840s and 50s, when ithelped to coin the term cartoonin its modern sense as a humorous

illustration. It became a Britishinstitution, but aer the 1940s,when its circulation peaked, it wentinto a long decline, fnally closingin 1992.

We have a large collection o theseearly cartoons, ageing back to the1890s with subject matter coveringgol, cricket, current events (at thetime), advertisements, and so much

    more.
