As parents, we are given opportunities to provide surety to our children; one of these instances is their education, but not just a school, a great academic and moral environment. The most impor-tant feature of Brady is that “it’s actually OK to want to be at school and cool to learn as much as you can.” We are thrilled to be a part of the Bishop Brady family.

For me, the Advisor system was one of the things that most helped me through my Freshmen year. It’s great to get to know teachers personally and to develop a friendly relationship with them. And, it’s so valuable knowing that there is always at least one teacher or administrator whose door is always open, who is always willing to help, and who will look out for you.

Student Testimonial

Our son was accepted into his top two college choices and received merit schol-arships from both. We did not even need to apply for these awards, and they were both worth more over four years than we have paid for Catholic education for the past 13 years!

what community members are saying . . .

I am truly grateful for the enthu-siastic support for my academic aspirations from all of my teach-ers, the guidance office, and the school staff.

Anupa Murali, ‘12On May 2, 2012, the U.S. Secretary of Education, Mr. Arne Duncan, announced the selection of Anupa Murali’12 as a 2012 U.S. Presidential Scholar. Anupa is one of only 141 American high school seniors demonstrating outstanding academic achievement, artistic excellence, leadership, citizenship, service, and contribution to school and community

selected to this highly prestigious award. Anupa, salutatorian of the Class of 2012, graduated second in the class, but is certainly no less accomplished. She is attending Harvard University. She is majoring in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. She expects to complete a graduate program in engineering or computer science and then pursue a research career in an academic institution.

Connor Houghton, ‘11When Connor entered the Northeastern Honors Program in 2011, he had enough AP credit to place out of both first year Calculus and General Chemistry. He is a member of the American Chemical Society and been able to participate in a cancer research project under a graduate student where his name is included on the paper presented at the ACS meeting this year. Connor is currently in Germany on a six month job as an assistant science teacher at the International School of Bremen. He received an Honors scholarship for students who work abroad and is earning a living stepend from the ISB. Next year, he will be traveling to Iceland for a six week course as part of Northeastern’s Dialogue program.

Jenn Parsons, ‘08Jenn was always a quiet leader, behind the scenes, but always there when her services were needed, so it’s not surprising that she would be appointed to West Point. Jenn graduated 4th in her class at Brady and felt completely prepared aca-demically for West Point and be-lieves the teachers at Brady were

here for their love of teaching, not just collecting a paycheck and that made all the difference for her. Her most recent accomplishments include graduating 29th out of a class of 1050 in the top 3% of her class, securing a spot in the Army’s Flight School. As Jenn starts her impressive and exciting journey, we wish her the very best in her next chapter as an army pilot.

“Earning my Alfred Lerner Fellowship has been another life-changing experience for me,” states Mrs. Treybig. “As a teacher, I now have a greater depth of knowledge and resources for teaching the history and events of the World Wars I & II, the Holocaust, and the Post-War World. “

Bishop Brady offers a challenging and traditional curriculum. We strive to understand and appreciate each student and his/her educational needs. One of our main educational goals is to have the student assume the responsibility for learning.
