    The BISAC Badminton Tournament is conducted under BWF International Rules.

    Exceptions will be noted in the below listed regulations.

    1. Teamsa. Schools may register 8 players.b. Each team manager must nominate their teams rankings to the Tournament Director 1 day prior

    to the beginning of the tournament. This is to allow for the rankings to be posted when the

    tournament officially begins. (3 singles & 2 double combinations plus a substitute player)

    Rankings are to be in effect for the completion of the entire tournament.

    Matchesa. Each match will consist of 3 singles and 2 doubles games.b. A non-scoring friendly match between opposing teams substitute players (if available) may take

    place at this time.3. Scoring System

    a. A match shall consist of the best of three games, unless otherwise arranged.b. A game shall be won by the side which first scores 21 points, except as provided in Law 7.4 &

    7.5.

    c. The side winning a rally shall add a point to its score.d. A side shall win a rally, if the opposing side commits a fault or the shuttle ceases to be in play

    because it touches the surface of the court inside the opponents court.

    e. If the score becomes 20-all, the side which gains a two point lead first, shall win that game.f. If the score becomes 29-all, the side scoring the 30th point shall win that game.g. The side winning a game shall serve first in the next game.

    4. Should the shuttle hit any obstruction such as basketball backboards, rings or nets, then a let should beplayed.

    5. Coaches are allowed to coach from coaching areas only. However, it should not interrupt play. TheTournament Director has the authority to regulate appropriate coaching behaviour. Coaching is

    considered to be communication, advice, or instruction of any kind, audible or visual to a player.Coaching will be allowed at the change of ends.

    II. SUBSTITUTIONa. The 8th player may be used for substituting an injured player. All subsequent players are moved up the

    rankings.

    b. If another player is injured the players are again moved up the rankings & the un-played game isforfeited.

    c. The 8th player (Reserve player), may substitute either for a 2nd doubles or a 3rd singles player in anymatch.

    TIE BREAKING FOR ROUND-ROBIN RANKING

    1. Tie Breaking Procedurea. If teams are level on points at the end of the round-robin games then the final placing will be decided by

    the following Tie Breakers:

    i. Result of Head to Head matchii. Total sets won among the tied teams

    iii. Total games won among the tied teams Points won (if possible)iv. Sets Lostv. Once a tie break has been resolved additional ties will be resolved in the same format using the same

    sequence of procedures beginning with the head to head result.

    REFRESHMENTS:

    Food and drinks will be available for Players to purchase. Bring water bottles to refill at water stations.

    Food and drinks will be available for Coaches at the Godbout & Phoenix Hospitality Rooms.

    TOURNAMENT FEE:Tournament fee is 3,000 Baht per team. Please pay in cash or check payable to Ruamrudee International School
