Nursery & KG
Events:
Independence Day celebrations
Special Assembly-The children of nursery came dressed
as national heroes.
The children of KG dramatized the freedom struggle
Special Assembly on Animal Kingdom was conducted by
the children of KG B, KG F and KG G.
Project: Plants
Respect for nature— Nature study
Nature walk-The children were taken around the school premises to observe plants.
Classification of plants- A bush, a tree, a creeper and a climber.
Posters displayed on the following topics:
1. Do not cut trees
2. Do not pluck flowers
3. Water the plants everyday
4. Feed the birds
5. Plant more trees
Post Activity-
Tree bark printing
Colours of nature – worksheet– using real leaves , flowers and mud to colour
Germination-Each child sowed seeds and promised to observe it grow into a plant.
Green House– The children were made to understand the concept of a Green House.
Leaf Printing-Printing on a certificate, where children pledged to plant and protect a
sapling.
Free hand drawing of the stages of a plant.
Worksheet-Drawing and labelling parts of a plant and picture pasting-things we get

World Elephant Day,12th August- fun facts
about elephants were discussed, followed by
mask making activity.
Mother Teresa‘s birthday– On the birth anni-
versary of Mother Teresa. the children had a
class discussion on kindness and being help-
ful towards others. This was followed by a
PPT presentation.
National Sports day– The day was celebrated
as the birth anniversary of the famous hockey
player Major Dhyan Chand. Awareness about
fitness was reinforced through aerobics, races
and sports activities like skating, swimming
and gymnastics.

" INTERNATIONAL BOOK LOVER'S DAY "
To inculcate the habit of reading and encouraging children to explore the mysteries,
magic and moral hidden in books , 9th August was celebrated as "Book lover's day "
INDEPENDENCE DAY -CRAFT ACTIVITY
Keeping up the spirit of this day children of classes I
and II collectively made a beautiful collage of the Na-
tional symbols of India.
KNOWING OUR NATIONAL SYMBOLS
Informative video related to the national symbols was
shown to the children. This was followed by a discus-
sion on these symbols.
INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS
The Tricolour was unfurled by Vice -Principal ma'am and patriotic songs
were sung by the children with pride in their hearts for their country and gratitude
for the sacrifices made to get its freedom.
WORLD ELEPHANT DAY
13th August was celebrated as ‘World Elephant Day’ The children were shown an informa-
tive PPT on amazing facts about elephants.
Craft activity: Elephant badges
CLASSES I & II
Activity related to core topic of the month "Food"
Discussion on facts about food was followed by making of a healthy tea time
snack by the little chefs of class I.
Class II Core topic of the month -"Learning amidst Nature"
An outdoor activity– observation of various types of herbs, shrubs, trees growing in
the school premises .
SPLASH OF COLOURS - Art competition
The creativity of the little children found expression through their artistic caliber.
RAKHI MAKING
The children made rakhis and sent messages of gratitude for the brave soldiers protect-
ing Indian borders .
Birth Anniversary of Mother Teresa
Class discussion along with a PPT was shown related to work done by the great hu-
manitarian Mother Teresa for the down trodden and the ailing.

Special Assembly: A special assembly was conducted by classes I-A and II-G on
‘Acts of Bravery’. The students depicted instances of bravery by eminent personali-
ties who went against all odds to bring about changes in the society.
Wall journal: The Heroes of Indian Independence:
The flavor and spirit of Independence Day was well depicted by the students of I
-A & II-G through the wall journal.
Special Assemblies
Class 5C, put up a special assembly on the topic “ Patriotism In Modern India”.
The assembly depicted the meaning of patriotism in the modern age as being a
good and honest citizen of the country .
The students of 5D showcased the effects of yoga to stay fit and healthy
through the special assembly on ‘Maharishi Patanjali’ - Father Of Yoga.
Special assembly by the students of class 4C on the topic ’Quit India Movement
'. The children dramatized the reasons which led to the movement and pledged
to be good citizens of India.
Talent Show: Talent Show provided a platform for
the children to show their aptitude and interest in
the fields other than academics. It was an enjoyable
day for all the participants.
Hindi Days: Hindi Days were observed from 13th
August to 16th August. Activities like Word building,
Quiz, Debate and Dramatization were taken up.
Special days-
Mother Teresa: On the birth anniversary of Mother Teresa, the children
were apprised of the charity and kindness of the great saint towards the less
fortunate
Van Mahotsav—The members of the Science Club planted medicinal and or-
namental plants in the school premises to celebrate the day.
Activities:
The students made rakhis on the occasion of Rakshabandhan. The rakhis were
sent to soldiers of the 16 Sikh Regiment stationed at Rajasthan.
International Book Lovers’ Day was observed on 9th August.
Independence Day: The students celebrated India’s
72nd Independence Day with patriotic fervour and gaie-
ty. The day began with hoisting the tricolour, patriotic
songs, short skits and making of colourful kites.
Workshop:
A workshop for the staff of Junior school was held by Ms. Reeti Jain on
the topic -“Emotional Intelligence”.
Achievements:
Lakshay Aplash of class V F won the 3rd
prize in a music competition—Solo cate-
gory, held at Mother’s International
School.
Sports:
At the Speed Factory Roller Skating Competition our young skaters proved
their mettle. The results are as follows:
