Characteristics

BIOselect skin care products are produced in Greece. They are based on olive oil

which is:

Antioxidant. Polyphenols protect from free radicals that age the skin

Protecting agent. Prevents and repairs skin damage (eg sunburns)

Moisturizer. Naturally moisturizes the skin deeply

Disinfectant. Polyphenols have antifungal and antibacterial properties

Hair enhancer. Prevents dandruff and non hereditary balding and protects

the hair from the sun

The company (BIOselect) holds a patent on the use of Dictamelia (dictamo infused

in olive oil). Dictamo, an herb that grows only in the island of Crete - Greece, is

known for:

Its healing and muscle relaxing properties

Hippocrates in “THE NATURE OF THE WOMAN” suggested it for the

women to speed up the birthing process

Aristotle in “THE HISTORY OF ANIMALS” points out that wild beasts used

to eat it to heal when wounded by predators

Its anti-microbial properties. Stops the growth of bacteria

Its anti-inflammatory properties

Its scar-healing properties

The BIOselect Skin Care Products are Certified Organic by

AIAB—ICEA (Instituto Per La Certificatione Etica e Ambientale),

a European Organization which is based in Italy. The certifica-

tion provides assurance that the products:

Are free of banned ingredients (see the list issued by ICEA)

Are not tested on animals

Do not contain gamma ray irradiated ingredients

Are free of GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms)

Are made of Certified Organic and Natural ingredients

The packing materials will not release toxic or harmful chemicals and are environmentally

friendly (eg fully recyclable, production process does not pollute etc)

Dictamo

HARSH PRESERVATIVES Preservatives are synthetic substances which ex-tend the shelf life of cosmetic products. We do not use Harsh Preservatives like Parabens because:

They can cause allergies.

They can be responsible for skin sensitivity.

They can be harmful and are considered as carcinogenic and toxic.

Instead of using these compounds, we replaced them with mild compounds and special blends of natural extracts which maintain the microbiologi-cal stability of BIOSELECT ™ cosmetics.

POLYETHYLENE GLYCOLS (PEG) / POLY-

PROPELENE GLYCOLS (PPG) These are synthetic substances used in ‘’traditional’’ cosmetics for many years. Instead of using PEG/PPG, we replaced them with plant-origin compounds which:

Have moisturizing properties.

Are compatible with all skin types.

Do not cause any allergies.

PROPYLENE GLYCOL (PG) Propylene Glycol is the most common extraction solvent for the plant extracts and has synthetic origin. We do not to use PG because it may cause various types of dermatitis and allergies. We replace it with other solvents that are safe and more compatible with the skin.

PETROCHEMICALS Petrochemicals and their derivatives (mineral oil, Vaseline, etc) are synthetic compounds derived from processing petroleum. We do not to use Petrochemicals because they block the skin pores thus not letting the skin ‘breathe’. We replace Petrochemicals with Organic Olive Oil and special blends of Organic Vegetable Oils which:

Give a silky and velvet texture to our prod-

Are compatible with all the skin types.

Cleanse the skin deeply.

SILICONES Silicones are synthetic substances which have been used in the ‘’traditional’’ cosmetics for many years. They can be found at a percentage from 1% to 99% in many formulations. We do not to use Silicones because:

They block skin pores and as a result of that, skin can’t ‘breathe’ normally.

They are not biodegradable.

Instead of using these compounds, we replaced them with Organic Olive Oil and special blends of Organic Vegetable Oils which:

Give a silky and velvet texture to our final products.

Are compatible with all skin types.

Can be absorbed by the skin without blocking the skin pores.

Give the skin all the vital nutrients and vita-

mins.

Have moisturizing properties.

SODIUM LAURYL SULFATE (SLS) Sodium Lauryl Sulfate is one of most widely used surfactants in cleansing products. We do not to use Sodium Lauryl Sulfate because:

It may cause dermatitis.

It may irritate the eyes.

Instead of using this substance, we replaced it with mild cleansing agents derived from plants which:

Are compatible with all skin types.

Do not irritate the skin.

Cleanse the skin deeply.
