Minutes of the Meeting
Date and Venue: April 4, 2013, SC Dry Pond
Meeting was called to order at 1:15 PM.
Meeting was adjourned at 3:00 PM.

Agenda #1: To introduce ourselves
Since it was the first meeting of the officers, the meeting was started by a GTKY
followed by signing the attendance sheet and their contact numbers were collected.
Agenda #2: To make amendments on the constitution.
Mr. Gamolo, the Biophilic Society President, discussed the different committees of the
constitution and its function. This was followed by the addition of the new committees for a
more effective and efficient system for this terms upcoming activities. The suggested
amendments of the constitution were the addition of Documentation Committee and Food
Committee.
Agenda #3: Appointment of Committee Heads
The officers decided to nominate new committee heads that do not possess any positionin the Biophilic Society this present school year as long as they are enrolled in BS Biology.
The new committee heads:
Constitutional Committee: Jhovals Visto
Metamorphosis Committee: Ana Maria Kim Vallente
Academic Affairs Committee: Eloise Diao*
Electoral Committee: Cindy Mere Mendoza*
Religious Committee: Emilou Aron
Sports Committee: Chino Bacsarpa*
Student Services and Welfare Committee: Ivan Fernandez*
Arts Committee: Ma. Cristina Veloso*

Agenda #4: To discuss the official Biophilic Society T-shirt 2013-2014.
The officers decided to have a T-shirt design contest that is open for all BS Biology
students. The deadline for the submission will be on May 1, 2013. The designs will be posted on
the Biophilic Societys Facebook page. Voting will start on May 2, 2013 until May 5, 2013.
There will be a booth set up on the enrollment week where Biology students can order their
shirts. First batch of orders will be on May 20.

Agenda #5: To create the GPOA
The summer activities that have to be anticipated are BOLTS and Bio Exhibit for the Org
Trip on ORSEM. The probable date and venue for BOLTS will be discussed further on the next
meeting.
The activities that have to be anticipated on the first semester are: GA, which will be held
on the Little Theater on June 22; Thesis Paper Seminar on June 15 for 3 rd years and 4th years;
Book Market; and Biolympics.
The activities that have to be anticipated on the second semester are: GA/Christmas
Party; Bio Lab Report Making Tutorial which is open to all Arts and Sciences students taking up
Biology subjects;
Some of the community projects that were suggested are: Tree Growing, Fun Run, and
Newspaper and Plastic Bottle Drive. These are to be discussed further on the next meeting.
Agenda #6: To Nominate the new moderator
The nominees for the new moderator included Majority of the members decided to have
Sir Edgar Besoro as the new moderator of the Biophilic Society. The confirmation of Sir Edgar
Besoro is still pending. If Sir Edgar Besoro will not confirm, Maam Lolita Martinez and Maam
Gertrude Garcia will be asked respectively.
