1st Circular Welcome to B4T, Kochi Department of Materials and Environmental Chemistry, Stockholm University, Sweden and Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Kerala, India welcomes you to participate in the B4T workshop organized under Indo-Swedish bilateral project supported by Swedish Research Links (VR, Dnr. 2016-05709, 2017-2019). Biomaterials For Tomorrow (B4T) is a workshop to share knowledge on the strategies for the utilization of bioresources for developing future materials, devices and products. Talks will be delivered by invited speakers only. Abstracts are invited for poster presentations.

Objective of the workshop The workshop will deliver a series of invited lectures from the leading scientists in Europe and India on the topic of valorization of biomass, refining and characterisation of cellulose, nanocellulose, lignin, hemicellulose and other high value components from plants, trees, bioresidues, processing technologies for material development, emerging applications, scale up and commercialization potential. The workshop will focus on the following topics
1. Biomass valorization 2. Biobased composites, nanostructures and functional materials 3. Biobased drugs and biomedical devices and products 4. Scale up and industry perspectives
Junior Researchers Forum Competition for best poster from master, doctoral, Postdoctoral researchers is planned. The abstracts for posters presentation will be accepted only after review based on scientific quality, by expert panel. 3 best posters from Indian side will be selected for award during the workshop.

Call for posters We invite junior researchers to submit abstracts for consideration for poster presentations before 1st October 2017. Template for abstracts is available here Abstract Template .
