In your table group, you will be given a utensil that represents your "beak", what you use to pick up food. Each group will have a different beak, so that each table group represents a different type of bird.

There are 4 types of food. You're flock will be able to test out their ability to "eat" each food, transferring the food from one bowl to another, for 2 minutes.

After you have tried all the foods, you must decide which one your beak type is best at eating, and will therefore have the highest rate of survival.

When 2 or more groups have chosen the same food source, they will compete. The winner gains access to the food source, while the loser needs to find food elsewhere.

After 2 unsuccessful competitions, that bird becomes extinct.
