BIOGRAPHY

Sandra Barclay is principal of Barclay & Crousse Architecture,

co-founded with Jean Pierre Crousse in France in 1994. They

opened a practice in Lima in 2006, pursuing his professional

activity in France with the collective Atelier Nord Sud.

Their work manages a wide range of programs, in a

transcontinental basis. Both their current practice and research

are focused on merging Territory, Landscape and Architecture in a

multiscale approach, which has been recognized by international

awards at the XIV Buenos Aires Biennale, the IV Ibero-american

Biennale and by the International Committee of Architectural

Critics (CICA). They had also obtained the most prestigiuous

national award, Hexágono de Oro in 2015.

The Italian editor Lettera Ventidue published in 2012 a

monographic book about their work in the Peruvian desert

coastline. Their projects have been published worldwide and

showcased at several exhibitions in Europe, South America and

Asia.

Barclay is Associate Professor of the Pontificia Universidad

Católica del Perú.
