Whether looking forsmall differences in multiple spectraloverlays, carrying out post-run manipulationson large numbers of samples or simplyfulfilling regulatory requirements, Biochrom’sResolution software has the flexibility towork in the way you want.

Resolution software is supplied in differentmodules to meet the applicationrequirements of different customer groupsand offers a simple upgrade path shouldyour requirements change.

European Pharmacopoeia(EP) Compliance

Customers manufacturingpharmaceutical products incompliance with the EP look for aUV/Visible spectrophotometer thatmeets the specifications defined in EP 2.2.25. This publishesspecifications for the control ofwavelength, Absorbance, stray light,resolution and spectral slit width.

The specification for resolution states“When prescribed in a monograph,measure the resolution of theapparatus as follows: record thespectrum of a 0.02 % V/V solution oftoluene R in hexane R. The minimumratio of the absorbance at themaximum at 269 nm to that at theminimum at 266 nm is stated in themonograph.” EP version 6.8 includesseven product monographs thatprescribe this ratio.

To claim full compliance aninstrument should give a ratiogreater than 2.0.

The Libra S70 with its fixed 1nmbandwidth and the S80 with itsvariable bandwidth both achieve this specification.
