Dr. Venkatesh was born on 24th November 1965 in the village DoddaBemmathi in Karnataka state, INDIA. He graduated in Civil Engineering from the University of Mysore, Karnataka in 1990.

Obtained Master of Engineering degree in Structural Engineering from Civil Engineering Department of Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in 1995.

Obtained Ph.D degree in “Collapse behavior of thin walled shells” from Applied Mechanics Department of Indian Institute of Technology Delhi in 2004. He published four international journal papers and one paper in symposium.

Received the award from National and International Compendium [NIC]-Glory of education excellence award for outstanding achievements in the field of education.

Joined as a faculty in the Department of Civil Engineering at Malnad College of Engineering, Hassan (Karnataka) in 1990. Worked as a lecturer up to 1996 and thereafter he was promoted as a Senior lecturer from 1996 to 2001. Further he was promoted as Assistant Professor from 2001 to 2007. That in the year 2007 promoted as professor and deputed from Malnad Engineering College, Hassan to Government Engineering College, Kushalnagar as principal from 27-12-2007 to 18-11-2010,and then working as professor and HOD of Civil engineering Department, Government Engineering College, Chamarajnagar, from 20-11-2010 to 02-07-2012, then working as professor and HOD of Civil engineering Department, Government Engineering College, K.R Pet , from 03-07-2012 to 28-05-2014, Presently working as principal Government Engineering College, Kushalnagar from 29-05-2014 to till date.
