SECONDARY NEWS On Wednesday, 4 March, seven of our students travelled to Inverell for the Combined High Schools Basketball competition. Miki Stamenkovic, Ben Wadley, Sam Mahoney, Cody McGarrity, Sam Honeysett, Isaak Johnson and Seth Keam were all on short notice for preparation leading up to this event. Each of our players had plenty of time on the court, with only two substitute players against Macintyre High and Inverell High school, who had full squads and plenty of substitutes. Unfortunately we didn't get any wins, but our players put up some good opposition considering our circumstances. We scored 27 points against Macintyre and 26 against Inverell who we held the lead against in the first quarter. Sam Mahoney and Isaak Johnson were top point scorers, as well as Cody McGarrity who all scored from the three point line. All boys put in a top effort and enjoyed a change of routine by participating in this opportunity. A big thank you to Mr Eastcott for training the players on short notice leading up to the competition. Mark Simpson Secondary Sports Coordinator
