Student Reports 2013 It has been very pleasing to hear the staff discuss the gains that many students have made academically during the 2012 school year. At this point in Term 4, all staff are busily completing their end of year assessments to assist in the writing of student reports. I would like to acknowledge the tremendous effort that the staff put into the creation of the reports. They are informative, honest and a great way of letting all parents knows how well their child is doing at school. School reports will be sent home on Wednesday 12 th December. Staff at Tolland will spend a great deal of their professional learning time in 2013 preparing to implement the NSW Board of Studies English Syllabus in 2014. It will be an exciting time of learning for the staff during next year. Being Punctual Did you know that if your child is arriving at school late they are missing that before school time which is very important for friendship making and learning socialisation skills. It is when students share stories and plan what games they will play for the day. If your child is late, they miss all that and more. The Home School Liaison Officer does check partial absences and will follow this up as a neglect of care if absences are excessive. They have indicated that the excuse of sleeping in is not a valid reason for lateness. We ask that all parents assist with ensuring their children attend regularly and on time each day. Dear parents,

We are so very proud of all our students here at Tolland Public School. The greater majority of students follow all the school’s rules, arrive at school in a timely manner and wear their uniforms every day, whilst showing respect towards our teachers, their fellow students and themselves. They should be very proud of themselves. This week we welcome parents of our prospective Kinder students of 2013. We know they will enjoy finding out the many great programs, activities and benefits being a student at Tolland provides your child.
