Car Park Projects The requirement for town and city centre car parking is increasing, but the land available is at a premium. Therefore, multi-storey car parks offer the ideal solution. Billington Structures has considerable experience in constructing steel frame car parks, and is therefore in an excellent position to provide this solution. St Paul’s Square, Liverpool Billington Structures fabricated and erected the steel frames for three of the five buildings on this urban regeneration project located close to Liverpool city centre. The development included residential, retail and commercial properties, all of which are served by an eight storey, 397 space steel frame car park – one of the three structures provided by Billington. As well as the steel frame, the Billington build programme included the provision of precast concrete floors and stairs for the car park. St Paul’s Square, Liverpool

Billington Structures fabricated and erected the steel frames for three of the five buildings on this urban regeneration project located close to Liverpool city centre. Echo Building, Sunderland

This 15-storey building contains three storeys of car parking, retail at ground floor level and 11 storeys of residential accommodation, made up of 179 apartments.

The three-level steel frame car park is open on the north elevation, but underground on the south elevation due to the slope of the land. Billington included all steelwork and metal decking for the project in their build programme.

White Rose Office Park, Leeds

The White Rose Office Park development is located south of Leeds city centre, and provides office space for a number of blue chip companies. The development has a five-storey, 570 space braced steel frame car park, which was designed, fabricated and erected by Billington Structures. The company also provided precast concrete decking and staircases.

Jackson Square, Bishop’s Stortford

This two-phase residential and retail development at the centre of Bishop’s Stortford lies adjacent to the shopping and leisure centre of the same name. Billington manufactured, supplied and erected steelwork for both phases of the building programme, which provides over 300 apartments, over 12,000m2 of retail space and 700 car parking spaces over four levels. In addition, Billington was responsible for the metal decking and precast concrete packages.

Quorum Business Park, Newcastle

Quorum is a new business park development providing over 90,000m2 of high quality office accommodation, a 120 bed hotel and retail space. Billington Structures has fabricated and erected three buildings on the park: two three-storey office buildings, and a raised deck car park. The build package for the car park included the braced steel frame, precast concrete decking and stairs and Armco barrier, and the provision of edge protection throughout the construction programme.
