Retirement Announcement Martha Johns retiring at the end of July. Miss Martha has been at Way Library for nearly 17 years, first serving as a clerk, and for the past 9 years serving as a Children's Librarian. Martha has brought much energy and fun into the Children's Department over the years with her lively story times. She has also been a gem at the Information Desk with her book knowledge. Martha has built a very successful Home Schooling program as well.

Big News at Way!Retirement Announcement

Martha Johns retiring at the end ofJuly. Miss Martha has been at Way Library fornearly 17 years, first serving as a clerk,and for the past 9 years serving as aChildren's Librarian. Martha has brought much energy and fun into the Children'sDepartment over the years with her livelystory times. She has also been a gem at the InformationDesk with her book knowledge. Martha has built a verysuccessful Home Schooling program as well.

Among the staff Martha will be most remembered for herspecial occasion poetry. Each time a staff member hit amilestone in their life, she would create a fitting poemmarking the occasion with joy and humor. Enjoy the lake Martha, you will be truly missed!!

Children's Summer Reading Programs and JulyEvents

Our children's SRP continues. There is still time to join the summerreading club! Now through Saturday, July26, children ages 0 to 10 years old maysign up for the Summer Reading Club at the Youth ServicesDesk. Read at least one book per week to receive a prize.In addition to receiving weekly prizes, children will be givena raffle ticket for every book read. Children reading bookswith 100 pages or more will receive a raffle ticket for every50 pages read. Raffles tickets may be entered into a grandprize drawing for a basket of books at the end of thesummer.

Teen Summer Reading Program and July Events

Our teen SRP continues. Now through July 26, teens age 11-15 areinvited to come to the library and read forprizes as well as take part in special eventsoffered throughout the summer.

WIN PRIZES FOR PAGES: Pick up a reading log at theYouth Services Desk and record the number of pages youread throughout the summer. Prizes will be awarded toeveryone that reaches the 200, 400, 600, 800 and 1000page milestones. Every 50 pages read enters your nameinto an end-of-summer grand prize drawing. The morepages you read, the better your chance to win!

ATTEND SPECIAL EVENTS AND WIN PRIZES: Every teenprogram you attend now through July 26 enters your namefor an end-of-summer grand prize drawing.
