As part of a UK-wide festival, we’re bringing you 8 weeks of dance in unexpected places across South East London, celebrating the diversity of dance styles in the capital.
Greenwich Dance, the Big Dance Hub for South East London, is working with local dancers, arts organisations, schools and councils across the boroughs of Bromley, Bexley, Lewisham and Greenwich to bring you a truly memorable summer.
In Greenwich our events are part of The Greenwich Festivals series, celebrating the cultural vibrancy of London’s newest Royal borough. Look out for the GF icon in this brochure.
Big Dance will be the ultimate dance experience in 2012.
There’ll be cabarets, picnics and workshops for all as we make our way along the Green Chain Walk, pop up in town centres and transform iconic buildings.
Join in and have a go at everything from Ballroom to Zumba. Or simply sit back and enjoy world class performances from some of London’s finest dance talent on your doorstep.
The Big Dance Trail begins on 18 May, with events and activities around the region leading up to Big Dance Week, 7 – 15 July – part of the London 2012 Festival, the finale of the Cultural Olympiad.
Everyone is invited to join in and make dance part of their lives in 2012 and beyond.
