Irregular and apparently random intersections of spatial planes create a volumearound the light source and produce the dynamic character of the exuberantsuspension lamp Big Bang. By evoking the dynamism of an explosion, themethacrylic planes – available in the white or white/red versions – seem to escapethe central luminous core and explode in all directions. A highly plastic luminousbody, characterised by the intrigues of light and shade, of great visual impact andyet aerial, ideal for singlehandedly personalising interiors of various styles. BigBang provides an intense, decisive and direct light. The particular arrangement ofthe surfaces guarantees maximum re ection and at the same time avoids dazzling,whilst o ering a di erent lighting e ect from all angles. With the L and XLversions, the strong scenic e ect of this lamp is further emphasised, making itideal for signi cant venues in which it creates charming luminous architecture.

Suspension lamp with di used, direct and indirect light. The lamp consists of an epoxy powder coated white aluminium plateand 6 di erent shaped translucent methacrylate slabs which t into one another thanks to purpose designed couplings cut intothe slabs. In the red version, the slabs are silk-screen printed and colored on the outside. Two stainless steel suspension cablesand transparent electrical cable, ceiling rose with galvanized metal bracket and epoxy powder coated white metal cover. Theelectronic transformer, in the uorescent version, is housed in the canopy. Canopy decentralisation kit available.

After several signi cant professionalexperiences in the eld of design, heteamed up with Enrico Franzolini in the BigBang project, entailing lamps with anexuberant personality that bring to mind thedynamism of an explosion.

Subsequently, he created the modularlighting project, Fields, which draws itsinspiration from the view of a landscapefrom above, as well as the Le Soleil lamps,spheres of irregular strips creating a specialluminous e ect.

E NRICO FRANZOLINI

His artistic research as a youth led tomultiple participations in collective andpersonal exhibitions, starting with theBiennale in 1972, in the decorative artssection.

In parallel with his artistic research, hedeveloped his engagement in the elds ofarchitecture and industrial design. Hisstudio tackles very di erent design topicsin terms of scale and subject matter, butthey all share a recognisable method andstylistic consistency. Together with VicenteGarcia Jimenez, he designed the Big Banglamp, which is an explosion of criss-crossing planes that leads to a completelyunprecedented type of lighting.
