upon a roadway shall be granted all of the rights and

shall be subject to all of the laws applicable to the

driver of a vehicle” (SC 56-5-3420)

1. Ride on the right side of the road with traffic.

2. Never ride facing traffic.

3. Obey all traffic signals and signs.

4. Use lights and reflectors when riding at night.

5. Always wear a helmet.

6. Ride no more than two abreast.

7. Use hand signals before changing lanes and when making turns.

8. Be extra cautious when riding through intersections.

9. Keep a safe distance from parked cars.

10. Never ride on sidewalks.
