Step 3: Rough draft with bibliography

    Deadline-Monday, May 3, 2010

You may want to consider writing an OUTLINE as your prewriting. This will

make for an easier transition to paragraphs.

Go ahead and write your bibliography from the sources you noted on your note

cards. Check the list below to make sure you have cited them correctly.

Bibliography-a list of the sources you used to get information for your report.

--This is easier to do if you have kept track of the sources on the note cards.

--List in alphabetical order by authors last names.

--Sources without authors should be listed alphabetically by title.

    Step 4: Edit/Revise

    Deadline-May 5, 2010

We will have time in class to read through papers to find misspelled words, punctuation and capitalization errors, places where more information is needed,

    incomplete/run-on sentences.

We suggest that you have someone at home read through your paper as well.

Step 5: Final copy with bibliography

    Deadline-May 7, 2010

This is where you may TYPE. Your final copy (typed if you wish) should be

completed by this date. If you choose not to type, then your paper needs to be

    written in your BEST handwriting.

Make sure that your sources are cited correctly and that your paper is a minimum

    of 5 paragraphs.

    Step 6: Visual aid/prop

    Deadline-May 10, 2010

You may want to work on this part as you are conducting research (pictures,

quotes, etc.). This needs to be done neatly.

    PRACTICE YOUR PRESENTATION

At home and with your visual aid - May 11-12, 2010

    Step 7: Oral presentation

    Deadline-Thursday, May 13, 2010

Students will make presentations for their classmates about the topic they have

researched using their visual aid. Students may choose to simply read the 5

paragraph paper making sure to refer to the visual aid.
