(Pro 22:28) Remove not the ancient

landmark, which thy fathers have set.

(Pro 23:10) Remove not the old landmark; and enter not into the

fields of the fatherless:

Page 5: Biblical Church History

(Ecc 3:15) That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already

been; and God requireth that which is past.

Page 6: Biblical Church History

It is the movement of God through history to accomplish

his 3 fold plan for the earth and universe, the Nation of

Israel, and for your Life.

It is also the movement of Satan to counter,

counterfeit, and confound the 3 fold plan of God

Page 7: Biblical Church History

DO YOU HAVE AN ABSOLUTE AUTHORITY?

Page 8: Biblical Church History

I. What is the Strategy he

is using?

Page 9: Biblical Church History

1st He tries to get her to

question God’s Word (Gen 3:1) Now the

serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the

woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of

the garden?

Page 10: Biblical Church History

2nd He changes God’s Word

(Gen 3:4) And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not

surely die:

(Gen 2:17) But of the tree of the knowledge of

good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely

die.

Page 11: Biblical Church History

3rd He reinterpreted God’s Word (Gen 3:5) For

God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

Page 12: Biblical Church History

HIS APPROACH WAS RELIGION! He even uses

God’s credentials (Gen 3:5) For God

doth know that in the day ye eat

thereof, then your eyes shall be

opened, and ye shall be as gods,

knowing good and evil.

Page 13: Biblical Church History

II. How does this

apply to Us and

Church History

?

Page 14: Biblical Church History

(2Co 2:11) Lest Satan

should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of

his devices.

Page 16: Biblical Church History

So while tracing Church History

we must be looking for Men, Movements and Institutions that

areto bring doubt, to change, and to reinterpret

the Word of God

Page 17: Biblical Church History

III. Tracing

the strategy

of Satan in the Old

Testament

Page 18: Biblical Church History

(Deu 13:1-3) If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of

dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, And the sign or the wonder

come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not

known, and let us serve them; Thou shalt not hearken unto the

words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know

whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your

soul.

Page 19: Biblical Church History

(Jer 23:30-32) Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith the

LORD, that steal my words every one from his neighbour. Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the

LORD, that use their tongues, and say, He saith. Behold, I am against them that prophesy false

dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err

by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor

commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all,

saith the LORD.

THERE ARE 7

CHURCHES ADDRESSED

IN THE WITTINGS

OF THE NEW

TESTAMENT BY PAUL!

Page 22: Biblical Church History

(Rom 16:17-18) Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions

and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not

our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good

words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the

simple.

ROME

Page 23: Biblical Church History

CORINTH (2Co 2:17) For we are not as many,

which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of

God speak we in Christ.(2Co 4:2) But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not

walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God

deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the

sight of God.

Page 24: Biblical Church History

CORINTH (2Co 11:3-4) But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his

subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that

is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another

Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear

with him.

Page 25: Biblical Church History

GALATIA (Gal 1:6-7) I marvel that ye are so soon removed from

him that called you into the grace of Christ unto

another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the

gospel of Christ.

Page 26: Biblical Church History

EPHESUS (Act 20:29-30) For I know

this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves

enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse

things, to draw away disciples after them.

Page 27: Biblical Church History

PHILIPPI (Php 1:18) What then?

notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice,

yea, and will rejoice.(Php 3:2) Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of

the concision.(Php 3:18) (For many walk, of

whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the

cross of Christ:

Page 28: Biblical Church History

COLOSSAE (Col 2:4) And this

I say, lest any man should

beguile you with enticing words.

Page 29: Biblical Church History

THESSALONICA

(2Th 2:1-2) Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by

word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

(1Th 2:13) For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye

received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the

word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh

also in you that believe.

V. Do we really

have the Word of

God!

THE AVERAGE STATEMENT OF FAITH BY THE

FUNDAMENTAL CHURCHES AND BIBLE COLLEGES IN

AMERICA TODAY We teach that the Bible is God’s written revelation of God, and thus the sixty-six

book of the Bible given to us by the Holy Spirit constitute the plenary (inspired equally in all parts) Word of God. We teach that the Word of God is

an objective, propositional revelation, verbally inspired

in every word, absolutely inerrant in the original

manuscripts, infallible and God-breathed.

Page 32: Biblical Church History

1. If the Bible was only inspired in the

Originals, then where are the originals ?

2. If we don’t have the originals then is what

we are reading not inspired

Page 33: Biblical Church History

(2Ti 3:16) All scripture is given by inspiration of

God, and is profitable for

doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for

instruction in righteousness:

Page 34: Biblical Church History

(2Ti 3:15) And that from a child thou hast known the

holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation

through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

Page 35: Biblical Church History

Luke 4:16-21

Jeremiah 36

Page 36: Biblical Church History

3. If the Bible was only inspired in the

Originals, and the originals are no more. Then why would God

not keep them for us ?

Page 37: Biblical Church History

(Psa 12:6-7) The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve

them from this generation for ever.

(Mat 24:35) Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass

away.
