BIAP Road Clean Project for Pedestrians

Al-Burhan Founda� on carried out a second project on the BIAP road; this project was named the BIAP Road Clean Project for Pedestrians and involved the cleaning and restora� on of the Baghdad Interna� onal Airport pedestrian footpath.

This project was part of a joint campaign by ABF, G4S and Serco, with the aim of cleaning and renova� ng this area and making it fi t for sports ac� vi� es such as walking, jogging and cycling. One November morning in 2017, the team led by ABF Founder Mr Imad Burhan gathered and started to collect rubbish, trim trees, remove dead branches and also installed wooden benches, small li� er bins and signs advising the public to dump rubbish in the designated bins. Once the task was completed, the Al-Burhan water tanker jets cleaned and removed dust from the streets.

إن المشروع الثاني الذي قامت بھ مؤسسة البرھان الخیریة، بما یخص طریق مطار بغداد الدولي، ھو مشروع تنظیف وتأھیل شارع مطار بغداد الدولي للمشاة. حیث كان جزًءا من حملة مشتركة لمؤسسة

البرھان الخیریة وشركة جي فور إس وشركة سیركو لتنظیف وتجدید ھذا الشارع وجعلھ صالحاً لإلستخدام خصوصاً لممارسین الریاضة.

إجتمع الفریق بقیادة رئیس مؤسسة البرھان الخیریة السید عماد كاظم برھان في صباح أحد أیام تشرین الثاني في عام 2017 للتنظیف وجمع القمامة وتقلیم األشجار وإزالة األغصان المیتة وتركیب مقاعد

إستراحة واسطوانات رمي القمامة وتثبیت عالمات التنبیھ، وتم إزالة األوساخ واالتربة المتراكمة عن طریق ضخ المیاه من شاحنات المیاه الكبیرة التابعة للمؤسسة.

Al-Burhan disposal trucks had to undertake 35 trips to the BIAP landfi ll in order to drop all the waste collected. Also In order to prevent fl y � pping in the future, a locked barrier was installed across the street and for extra safety it was painted and covered with refl ec� ve signs. A concrete block was also put at the end of the road.

Al-Burhan Founda� on is grateful to all par� cipants of the BIAP Road Clean Project for Pedestrians, for their eff orts to enhance the area which not only creates a great fi rst impression to anyone arriving in Baghdad but also its good for the environment and encourages the public to take part in spor� ng ac� vi� es which can be performed in the surrounding area of Al-Burhan Street.

إضطرت شاحنات البرھان إلى القیام بـ 35 رحلة من أجل التخلص من النفایات التي تم جمعھا في مكب النفایات المخصص لھا. وتم تركیب حاجز محكم في بدایة الشارع لمنع المركبات من المرور

لیبقى الشارع خاص بالمشاة فقط. وللمزید من األمان، تم وضع حاجز خرساني مغطى بعالمات عاكسة في نھایة الطریق أیًضا.

مؤسسة البرھان الخیریة ممتنة لجمیع المشاركین في مشروع تنظیف شارع مطار بغداد الدولي للمشاة على سعیھم لتجمیل المنطقة لكي تخلق إنطباًعا إیجابیاً لكل من یصل إلى العاصمة الحبیبة بغداد

وللحفاظ على البیئة والصحة العامة، وكذلك لتھیئة المنطقة المحیطة بشارع البرھان لممارسة األنشطة الریاضیة.
