MET Bhujbal Knowledge City

The MET League of Colleges is a conglomerate of premiere educational institutions, driven by a

single-minded focus on imparting quality education to make students sharp. Established in 1989, with

a mission to redefine the system of education, MET is a professionally managed, multi-disciplinary

and multi-faceted oasis of knowledge. The grant of the ISO 9001:2008 certification is an

acknowledgement of the institution's capability to deliver professional education that meets the

highest standards of professionalism worldwide.

SAC (Students’ Association of Computer) SAC – Students’ Association of Computer was an idea, a challenge to create a platform for the

students, by the students and of the students wherein students would come out of the shell to display

their talent, innovation and help them make a cut above the rest.

Established on 25th August 2012, SAC has been creating waves ever since. SAC is committed in

generating, disseminating, and preserving knowledge, and to working with others to bring this

knowledge to bear on the world's great challenges.

SAC in association with CSI Student’s Accredited Wing is dedicated to provide its members with an

education that combines rigorous academic study and the excitement of discovery with the support

and intellectual stimulation of a diverse campus community. We seek to develop in each member of

the SAC the ability and passion to work wisely, creatively, and effectively for the betterment of

humankind.

Functions

Generate awareness about technical know-how & updates on the current technical and

nontechnical scenario.

Conducting various seminars, workshops (in-house faculty as well as industry experts) throughout

the year to enlighten students with the various technologies.

Hosting mega event “METASTORM” which aims at bringing forward various facets of students’

be it from managing an event, to competing with peers, to marketing oneself in the industry.

Aggrandize CSR by conducting college level events that aims at helping the less fortunate.

Milestones

Yearly membership of more than 200 students from Computer Engineering Department.

Also work with the CSI (Computer Society of India) Nasik Chapter.

There has been various Technical, Non-Technical, and Cultural Events, workshops, seminars and

CSR activities of which SAC has been an integral part of under the METASTORM event.

Chief guests include technical experts, business tycoons, dignitaries, socialists, businessmen, high

ranking law enforcement personnel, etc.

Events & Activities:

Teachers’ Day Celebration

We very well know that Teachers are the whole and soul reason of what we are now. SAC takes the

responsibility of conducting Teachers’ Day and making it as grand as possible. We work towards

making this day “special”, memorable and an experience which is outside the classroom boundaries

for Teachers as well as students. Every year SAC celebrates the Teacher’s Day Function on the

occasion of Birth Anniversary of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. This year we the celebrated it on

7th September 2016.

METASTORM

METASTORM is the annual event organized by SAC. SAC, being the independent body of

students who organize this event along with many other social initiatives and outreach programs

round the year.

Started in 2012 with the aim of providing a platform for students to develop and showcase their

technical prowess, it has now grown into one of Nasik’s largest Technical festival. The activities

culminate in a grand three day festival event in the month of September on the campus of MET’s

BKC, Nasik campus which attracts people from all over India, including students, academia,

corporates and the general public.

Highlights

State level event, highest rated technical event in Nasik.

Turnout of almost 5000+ students from in and around Maharashtra. Chief guests include technical

tycoons, VIPs, dignitaries, socialists, businessmen, law enforcement etc.

Hosting workshops by technical experts. (Cyber Forensics by Mr. Vidit Baxi)

Conducting State level events like BeRFI (Be Ready for Industry) sponsored by ELC Learning.

Sponsored by the best industries in and around Maharashtra.

METASTORM 2016

We received a huge response from the enthusiastic students in regard to the technical, cultural and

sports events. A cultural event under the name “Jai Ghosh” was hosted that gave students a platform

to showcase their hobbies and talents. Also a debut mobile game named “ Mini Militia” has set a new

benchmarks for mobile game lovers.

Inauguration Ceremony A grand event was held for the inauguration of METASTORM ’16 on 16th September 2016.

The event was conducted for 3 consecutive days from 16th -18th September 2016. The

Inauguration was common with the participation of all the departments of IOE. It was witnessed by

the theme based on the sports legends of India. Students from various departments played a vital

role in imparting the images of great sports legends like Sachin Tendulkar, Sayna Nehwal, Sakshi

Malik, Sania Mirza and many more. The event was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Mrs. Shefali

Bhujbal Ma’am. Many of the sponsors from in and around nashik has enlighten the ceremony with

their valuable presence. To name a few they were ValurHR Pvt. Ltd. Mumbai – A Singapore based

NMC, GDSS Nashik, PT Education Nashik, etc.

Students Play on Eminent Sports Personnel

Events:

A series of technical, non-technical and cultural events are conducted for the students over 2 days

from technical and nontechnical background to showcase their skill and talent.

This year, for the METASTORM 2016, we would be introducing a ‘FUTSAL – A mini Football

Competition that would promote and groom students for enhancing their sports abilities.

Every Year we try to include a new event to groom students to their overall strengths.

Technical Events

Profused

A mixed coding competition, where participants are tested, and tested vigorously for their technical

programming skills, the basic logic development and problem solving techniques. Here students

are given problem definition which is mixture of code in different languages and they are asked to

identify the problem definition and again to code it in their favorite language. In next round they

will be given different problem definition as rapid fire to test their talent based on time factor and

so on. We have given freedom for last round to be defined by judges to remove tie or to select the

skilled candidates. This event was sponsored and judged by Emerging Technologies Nashik. It

was conducted on 17th September 2016.

Googled

Where students are given a topic, time and computers, and they have to search on the given topic

for the allotted time and present on the same. So simply search it and present it. This event was got

a huge response this year including much participation from in and outside of nashik. The event

was judged and sponsored by Golden Dreams Software Solutions Nashik through which

students had got opportunity to have discussion on various technical things with the promising

judges. Judges have given various insights to students about time management, analytical skill

improvement and many more which surely helped them to improve their areas of reasoning and

presentation.

"GOOGLED 2016" Participants and Winners with Staff Coordinators

BeRFI

Be Ready for Industry, an event that is conducted in association with our sponsor PT Education

Nashik. to create a mock test of the Aptitude test, Group Discussion and Extempore with a panel

of experts. This gives students an opportunity to go through a smaller version of campus

recruitment process conducted at job interview and also groom them to get confidence in each area

of campus recruitment process. We every time call mainly Industry Personnel or Coaching

Academy personnel so as to groom the students’ aptitude, reasoning English like areas.

Face OFF: It was a generalized quiz competition based on technical, non-technical and general knowledge

based knowledge. Participants enjoyed testing their knowledge in various areas and they explored

their talent in the given topics by the judges. The event was judged by Professor Mr. Sandip

Kholambe MET’s IOTP. It was a great platforms for the quiz lovers who have habit to enhance

their skills with objective type questionnaire.

Non-Technical Events

CLAN Wars

LAN Gaming sessions conducted between multiple players and teams for Counter Strike and Need

for Speed Most Wanted. This provides students exposure to their non-technical skills such as

computer gaming. The event was inaugurated on 16th September and concluded on 17th September

2016. Like every year this year also we got huge response of the digital players.

Jai Ghosh A cultural dance and singing competition. The dance event was judged by Mrs. Priti Kukekar –

Director Music Acadmey Nashik and singing event was judged by Mr. Yeole a renowned

musician in nashik. More Than 500 students had attended the event. This event has set the

benchmark from 2 years by providing students a grand platform to showcase and nurture their

singing and dance talent.

Dance Event: Here are the memories of Dance Competition under Jaighosh which has got an

overwhelming response. The event was a golden opportunities for real dancers to showcase and

boost their extracurricular talent. This event got a huge response this year also. We are very glad to

provide the tomorrow’s dancer a great platform to nurture and compete their talent with other

participants in and around nashik. The event was held on 17th September 2016.

Singing Event:

Here are the memories of Singing Competition under Jaighosh which has also got the nice

response from the participants from various regions. The event was a golden opportunities for real

singers to showcase their talent in front of eminent singers in music field and to boost their

extracurricular talent to attend the high position in today’s reality shows. The event was held on

17th September 2017.

FUTSAL:

A newly added event in the year 2016-17. It basically played in foreign countries with great

enthusiasm and passion by the players of football all over the world. There is no much craze in

India but still we tried it in the out event to provide students the insights of the new outdoor game

where they can explore their skills. This event was got a huge success around 30 teams visited the

campus and show went for total 2 days and finally ended with the prize distribution. The event was

judged by External Refree Mr. Rohit More and Mr. Shakti Gadekar and was held during 17th

-18th September 2016.

First Alumni Meet 2016 The firs alumni meet was held by all the departments of Institute of Engineering. It was great

moment for MET BKC Family to celebrate the First Alumni Meet of all departments together with

common inauguration. The Inauguration was held at IOTP Seminar Hall on 1st October 2016.

The department celebrated the first alumni meet with the presence of the glorious alumni of the

years starting from first batch of the Department. The event was inaugurated with the enjoyable yet

meaningful act by current students.

Program was proceed further with the introduction to POs and PSOs of NBA .Various alumni

has addressed the current students with their valuable guidance for shaping their career in various

IT Industries. One of the alumni Mr. Pratik Nikam residing in US currently has addressed the

audience through a webinar by enlightening various aspects of IT world and Industrial

requirements and how students can enhance their skills to withstand with the IT world.

A discussion session was also arranged for the current students to get the valuable inputs from the

alumni for their further academic growth and opportunities to have bright career in various IT

industries and higher studies.

“Earn While You Learn” by ValeurHR: This was the great opportunity for all the students of IOE to be part of “Earn While You Learn”.

The main idea behind it was the Forex Market. The workshop was conducted by our Platinum

Sponsor “ValeurHR Pvt Ltd.” Mumbai – A Singapore based NMC. They have made a web

app where anyone can participate and has to give their insights about the Forex market analysis.

We just have to do the analysis of current and historical data and based on our prediction and

analytical skills we have to provide the insights about market condition in next particular time.

We only have to invest 24hrs a month to do this activity in our free time which can bring the

money in terms of dollars if our insights goes accurate. Almost all students of IOE have registered

for it and taking the benefits of the same.

and Mr, Rajat Bakshi – A Vice President, ValeurHR Pvt. Ltd. And it was delivered on 30th
