PROMINENT SCHOOL ACTIVITIES AND SCHOOL EVENTS
International Yoga Day Celebration: On the eve of International Yoga Day a refreshing and
energizing camp on Yoga and Pranayam was organized on 21st
June 2018 for 874 students of
Std VI to X in the school premises with a purpose of increasing the level of concentration and
learning the better way of meditation. The students were briefed about how yoga embodies unity of
mind and body, thought and action, and is a holistic approach to health and well being.
Rakhi Stall : As a contribution to the society and in collaboration with Sandnya Sanwardhan
Santhan, this year also the school arranged a Rakhi stall on the day of PTM on 28th
July
2018. The stall exhibited and sold hand made rakhis (worth Rs. 12500/-) which were made
by the specially abled chidren of Sandnya Sanwardhan Santhan thus providing financial
assistance to the organization and boosting the morals of these students.
Varsha Sahal : As a part of pratham sopan of Scout & Guide Programme, the school has
organized a Nature Trail for 190 students of Std. VI and other new students on 14th
July
2018. During the trail the students not only experienced the freshness and greenery of
nature but also got an opportunity to broaden their knowledge about the flora and fauna
found there.
Kargil Divas presentation: On the eve of Kargil Divas, the school organized a programe by
the volunteers of Prahar Jagruti Sansthan SSB Wing on 19th
July 2018. The session consisted
of lecture demonstration about the Kargil war of 1999 in which India won a decisive
political and military victory. The volunteers engrossed the students with their PPT
presentation and very effectively narrated the untold stories of our unsung heroes who laid
their lives for the sake of our country. More than 500 students from Std. VIII to X witnessed
this session. The students were also sensitized about the opportunities and career in Armed
services of the nation by the Prahar Jagruti Sansthan students.
Scout & Guide Orientation Programmes for students : On 27th
July 2018 the school
organized following two programmes for the Scout & Guide Students. The resource person
for these sessions was Shri. Prateek Kannake (Training Counsellor, H.W.B. Scout).
• Scout & Guide orientation Programme for the students (184) of Std. VI. In this
session the students were briefed about the importance of Scout & Guide and its
future prospects. The students were made aware about various exams in this arena
and how they will be able to contribute to the society and the nation by the learning
that they would gain as a Scout/Guide.
• Rajya Puraskar Awareness Programme for 30 students of Std. IX who are already
enrolled for the next level of examination in Scout & Guide category.

PARENT ORIENTATION PROGRAMME :
The school organized Parent orientation Programme for the parents of all the classes of Bal
Mandir and Std. I and II of Vidya Mandir. The main aim of these sessions was to make the
parents aware about our pattern of studies, evaluation, do’s and don’ts , CCA curriculum, and
other academic details so that it may help their ward to get accustomed to school activities
respectively.
STAFF DEVELOPMENT PROGRRAME
Principal as Resource Person For CBSE Workshops:
Principal as an Eminent Speaker : Smt. Parwati G Iyer was one amongst the eminent speakers in
the Annual Principal’s meet which was organized by The Hitavada recently on 22nd
July 2018 at
Centre Point Hotel, Nagpur. The get together was marked by a Symposium on “Back to the Basics in
Education” and was addressed by a few Principals. The gathering consisted of more than 300
members from the education fraternity and was also attended by five of the school’s staff members
namely Smt. Sonali Tumbde, Smt. Manjusha Hardas, Smt. Jayashri Narnaware, Ms. Shibanaz Khan,
and Ms. Pranali Bhoyar.
Workshop on “Inclusive Education” : On behalf of CBSE COE, Pune, a two days Capacity Building
workshop on Inclusive education was being conducted at Lotus English School, Pandharpur, Dist.
Solapur, Maharashtra on 27th
& 28th
July 2018. The resource person of the workshop were Smt.
Parwati G. Iyer, Principal, Bhavan’s B. P. Vidya Mandir, Trimurti Nagar, Nagpur and Ms. Kavitha
Reddy, Counsellor, Foster Billabong High International School, Hyderabad. A total of 50 participants
from rural background attended and were benefitted from this workshop.

Varsha Sahal : As a part of Scout & Guide Programme the school organized a Nature
Trail for 183 students of Std. VI on 14th
July 2018. The basic aim of this activity was to
sensitize the students towards nature and make them aware about environmental
issues.
Scout and Guide Teacher orientation programme: A training session was organized
in the school on 21st
July 2018 for 26 Scout Master and Guide Captains wherein they
were briefed about the Basic and advanced knowledge of the subject along with
detailed information about Rajya Puraskar and Rashtrapati Puraskar. The resource
person for the session were Smt. Savitri Subramanium, Leader Trainer, Bharat Scout
& Guides and Shri. Pratik Kannake Instructor, Bharat Scout & Guides.
Scout & Guide Investiture Ceremony : Scout & Guide Investiture Ceremony was
organized by the school on 2nd
November 2018 for developing the young Scouts and
Guides in achieving their full physical intellectual, social, and spiritual potentials as
an individuals, as responsible citizens, and as members of the local, national and

HEALTH & WELLNESS CLUB :
Health Check up Camp : For maintaining the Cumulative Health Record of students
in school a “Health Check up Camp was organized by the school in ollaboration with
Orange City Hospital for the students of Std. I to X along with its staff members from
17th
to 21st
September 2018. The check up involved general health and hygiene of
children which spread awareness of upkeep of self in better way.
Blood Test Camp: The school has organized Blood Test/ Medical Tests for all the staff
members at a nominal discounted amount wherein 7 different tests with 43
parameters was conducted by MEDCIS Path lab India Pvt. Ltd. In coordination with
H-curis Health Services and Sahyug Healthcare Development Organization (NGO) and
detailed individual reports was provided to the entire staff member.
Pap-smear and Mammography : The school has organized pap-smear and
mammography test along with some other tests, free of cost exclusively for its
female staff members as a preventive measure in coordination with Dr. Rohini Patil
and her team. The tests were conducted on 29th
September 2018 in the school
premises itself.
LITERARY CLUB :
Sanskrit Diwas Celebration : To develop interest in one of the oldest languages we
have i.e. Sanskrit and to increase confidence level as well as effective communication
skills, Sanskrit diwas was celebrated in the school number of activities which were
conducted activities related to the language such as Discussion in Sanskrit, Shloka
Recitation competition, Nomenclature of things in Sanskrit etc. were undertaken.
The guests on this occasion were Dr. Smt. Nanda Puri (HOD & Dean of Sanskrit
Sahitya Vibhag, K. K. Kalidas Vidyalaya, Nagpur) and Prof. Arun Pawar (Head of
Sanskrit Department, Vasantrao Naik Government College of Arts & Social Science
,Nagpur)
Hindi Diwas : On 14th
September 2018 the school celebrated Hindi Diwas. Several
activities were up taken to mark the importance of Hindi language. The celebration
consisted of various week long activities like Bhajan, Doha Recitation, Nukkad Natak,
Qawali, Poster making, poem Writing etc. the final day of the celebration was
marked by a Rally to spread awareness about the national language. Dr. Neeta Singh
( HOD, Hindi Dept, Shri. Binzani College Nagpur) and Prof. Q. H. Jeevaji (Executive
Committee member, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Nagpur Kendra) were the esteemed
guest for the day.

Book Fair : It was organized by “Scholastic India Pvt. Ltd” from 31st

Plantation Week : With a noble aim of making our environment clean and green, the
tiny tots of Bhavan’s B. P. Bal Mandir celebrated Plantation Week from 20th
to 24th
August 2018 wherein plantation drive, green day celebration, Rally with seed
distribution were the prominent activities under this drive.

Independence Day : To commemorate the sovereignty of our nation, the school
celebrated Independence day on 15th

etc. In addition to it the conference also focused to generate awareness about the
processes involved in the Prime Ministerial elections in India. The conference
witnessed a stimulation of 5 forums in which the students represented their pre-
assigned political parties in various capacities like Parliamentarians, Campaign
Managers and Press. These forums was be guided by an experienced Executive
Board.
“LITMUN-2018”– Students of our school also attended this two days conference
organized by Laxmi Narayan Institute of Technology, Nagpur on 1st

2018 . The conference fostered problem-solving skills and provided a platform for
students to get a taste of organized debate. During the conference, participants

Students Conclave : Under the banner of this club students from the school
attended and presented a paper on 1} Why Not India & 2} Why Not Sing Your
Own Song? in the Students Conclave-2018 which was organized by South Point
School, Nagpur on 21st

November 2018. The main focus of the conclave was
to give the students a brief knowledge about data research on a particular topic,
data collection, data interpretation, and paper presentation.
Armed Force Flag Day Celebration : As per the directives received from CBSE and to
honour our martyrs and the men and women in uniform who valiantly fight on our
borders to safeguard the country’s honour, the school celebrated Armed Force Flag
Day on 7th
December 2018 as a part of which appeal was made and contributions
were called from the staff members and the students by purchasing Armed forces
flags and approximately RS. 6045 /- was collected which was then donated for the
welfare of the Indian Armed Forces Veterans and their families.

Book Fair : It was organized by “Scholastic India Pvt. Ltd” from 31st
October 2018 to

November 2018 .The wish list was prepared by the students for buying the books.
The book fair was also visited by the parents of Bal mandir and Vidya mandir. The
event was successfully executed with the help of Reader’s Club Members.
SPORT’S CLUB :
The basic aim of the activities conducted under this club is to Develop mental, emotional,
physical and Spiritual aspects in the students. The focus is also on Improvement of
individual’s speed, Neurovascular, co-ordination, agility and team spirit.
International Yoga Day : On the eve of International Yoga Day a refreshing and
energizing camp on Yoga and Pranayam was organized for the students of Std VI to X
in the school premises on 21st

Krida Diwas : To mark the Birth Annniversary of Major Dhyan chand the school

Guru Pournima : On the eve of Guru Pournima, the school organized a Musical event

WORKSHOPS CONDUCTED IN THE SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS
Umbrella Painting Workshop : The school conducted an “Umbrella Painting
Workshop” on 28th
and 30th
August 2018 which was organized by Akshrrayan -
School of Calligraphy. The workshop was attended by 109 students who have opted
Painting as their Art Education Subject and aimed at developing interest and
inclination in the students towards the subject and enhance their creative skills. The
focus aspect of this workshop was the art of Calligraphy to enhance child’s
Handwriting and to develop interest for writing.
Lantern Making Workshop : The school conducted Lantern Making Workshop on 2nd
November 2018 for the member students of ‘Newspaper in Education’ (NIE). The
aim of this workshop was to enhance creativity in the students and to develop their
vocational skills.
SCHOOL ACTIVITIES RELATED TO SOCIAL CAUSE
Diya & Panti Stall : As a contribution to the society and in collaboration with Sandnya
Sanwardhan Santhan, this year also the school arranged a Diya & Panti stall on the day
of PTM on 3rd
November 2018. The stall exhibited and sold hand made Diya & Panti
(worth Rs. 5205/-) which were made by the specially abled chidren of Sandnya
Sanwardhan Santhan thus providing financial assistance to the organization and
boosting the morals of these students.
Balajanaagraha : With the aim to take the student forward in their quest to become
active citizens the school in association with Bala Janaagraha (NGO) has undertaken
several projects for giving them an exposure to real life civic, environmental and social
issues
• Civic Project “I Change my City Challenge ”, which focused on civic, environmental and
social issues which affects us and will analyze the root cause and effects of the
identified issue. The selected students were taken for the field visit for an interaction
with the area corporator, students of Municipal School and Self Help Group along with
the teacher incharges from the school during the school hours.
• Joy of Giving Drive : With the mission of “spreading awareness and sensitizing our
students towards the under privileged Tribal sector of our society ” and as a part of our
school’s Heritage Club and Integrity Club activity we have taken this initiative of “Joy of
Giving” drive under the Balajanagraha Activity from 11th
December 2018 to 15th
December 2018, wherein various materials related to daily needs was collected in the
school and then was distributed through a NGO to the needy people.

Bal Mela : The school organized its first Bal Mela (2018-19) on 1st
December 2018. This
unique fun-fair was organized by 138 students of Std. X where children had put up 30
stalls ( 12 stalls of eatables, 15 stalls of games, and 3 stalls of rides respectively) for their
parents and grandparents. The revenue collected on this day was approx Rs. 5,15,000/- .
The surplus generated from the event was Rs. 1,46,811 which is 28.60 % of the revenue
generated.
TEACHER’S ACHIEVEMENTS
Best District Teacher award : To focus on the era of Mathematics for the session
2017-18, 932 students had registered for the international Mathematics Olympiad
wherein 30 students qualified for 2nd
Level, 6 students excelled with medal of
Distinction and Certificate of Zonal Excellence where as 25 students got Gold Medal
26 student Silver Medal and 24 students received Bronze Medal respectively. The
school acknowledged the vision and academic initiatives of Shri. Ajit Chhatani on
account of which the students of the school exhibited outstanding performance at
the district level in Maharashtra State for the SOF International Mathematics
Olympiad during the academic session 2017-18. On account of his performance Shri.
Ajit Chhatani was Feliciated with the Best District Teacher Award by Science
Olympiad Foundation.
Power Point Presentation Competition : Smt. Jyoti Gillukar (PRT Computer Science)
brought laurels to herself and to the school by baging 1st
Position in the Power point
presentation competition which was organized by Raman Science Centre for the
teachers during its Swacchata Pakhwada Celebration.
PRINCIPAL AS RESOURCE PERSON FOR CBSE WORKSHOPS:
Workshop on “Teachers Training Programme on remodeled structure ” On behalf of
CBSE COE, Pune, a one day Teachers Training Programme on remodeled structure was
being conducted at Kids Kingdom Public School, Nanded , Maharashtra on 11th
