Study Tour 2018
It is the tradition of the institute to inculcate practical values amongst the students. With this
object this year the college has decided to arrange academic visit to Supreme Court of India,
along with Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum, Parliament of India Museum and other places at
Delhi.
Accordingly tour was planned by Shri Mahendra Khairnar, Asst. Prof. as per the guidance of
Principal Dr. Chavate. We had obtained Recommendation letter for tour from
Hon. Prithviraj Chavan, Former CM of Maharashtra. It was decided to cover meantime places
also so as to give pleasure to students. Route of the tour was planned to enjoy the places of
historical importance such as Udaipur, Jaipur, Gwalior etc.

All the planning and stay arrangements were made in due course of time. Contribution of Rs.
8000/- (Eight Thousand only) were collected from the students and Staff members were
asked to pay Rs.5000/- (Five Thousand only). Accordingly amount was collected and used
for railway booking, stay arrangements, entry tickets, and sight scene etc.
Day 1- Mumbai Sight Scene
On 19th Feb. we departed from Karad to Mumbai by bus at 11.00pm. 18 students and 2 staff
members were joined the tour. On 20th Feb. by 6.00am we reached at Sion Mumbai, where
we stayed and get fresh. Mr Santosh Jadhav student of first year helped to make us
comfortable. From there we reached at Gate way of India by local bus by 9.00am after photo
shoot for half an hour we started our journey by ferry boat towards Elifant caves. It took
almost one and half hour to reach at caves. The moment we saw the cave we were astonished
by its beauty and clarity. The cave depicts ancient Hindu scriptures particularly Lord
Mahadeva. This place was declared as World Heritage site by the UNESCO. We spent almost
6 hours there. From there we went to Dalal street where we saw huge market place and
Building of Bombay Stock Exchange, High Court, Kala Ghoda etc. We came to Bandra
Station by 9.00pm after having dinner at canteen we board to Bandra –Udaipur Train at
11.00pm.
Day 2- Udaipur Sight Scene
On 21st Feb. by 4.00pm we reached to Udaipur station. The station was beautifully decorated
showing colour welcome to tourists. We saw tourist from all over the world come to
Rajasthan to enjoy its beauty. We stayed at Pandit Dharamshala and Hotel Sunder near to
station. We went by auto rikshaw to saw beautiful Fatehsagar Lake, Fish Aquarium and
Sukhadia market.
On 22nd Feb. at early morning we went to sight scene by auto. We have seen Monsoon
Palace at Sajjangarh Fort located at highest peak from where we can saw whole Udaipur city.
Then to Gulab Bagh, City Palace,Lake pichola, Moti Magari, Sahelion ki Badi, Pratap
Smarak, and Jagdish Temple. Really we witness one of the clean cities in India, awesome
tourist destination. With the beautiful memories we left Udaipur for Jaipur by train on
11.00pm.
Day 3- Jaipur Sight Scene
In the third day of tour on 23rd Feb. we were at Jaipur, the pink city of India. We reached
there by 5.00am stayed at Hotel Shrikrishna. We get fresh early to witness the beauty of the
city. We booked three cars Tavera for day visit. At first we witness the beautifully structured
Hawa mahal, Jantar Mantar, Albert Museum. We went to famous Amer Fort it is really
splendid. We saw sheesh mahal built in the pavilion of the fort. Jal mahal built in lake
surrounded by market place. We made shopping. We left Jaipur to Delhi by Bus at 10.00pm.
Day 4- Delhi – Supreme Court
On 24th Feb. we reached at old Delhi station by 6.00am. From there we went to Engineering
College Campus of Bharati Vidyapeeth. It was proud moment to be at the sprawling premise
of parent institute. After having breakfast we started our journey towards Supreme Court
museum situated adjacent to main building of Supreme Court. We have taken prior
permission to visit the museum.
The museum was recently started to enlighten the generation about the journey of judicial
system in India.
Thereafter we went to main building of Supreme Court unfortunately the Court was not in
session on Saturday and four days holiday in view of Holi was commenced. Although we sat
at lawn, in front of main building where we discussed with Advocate Vidya Pawar. She is
now Advocate on Record and alumni of New Law College, Sangli and Bharati Vidyapeeth,
Pune. She told us importance of reading, practice and application of law over the facts.
We went to Akshardham Temple. It was beautiful spread on hundreds of acre. Swami
Narayan temple was built in 2004. It was breath taking moment when we saw Water Show at
the premise of temple. We will never forget the sensation we experienced.
Day 5- Delhi – Rashtrapati Bhavan
On 25th Feb. in early morning we started for Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum. We have had
obtained prior permission and booking for the visit. After passing through security checks we
have taken to Museum building by electric car. Really museum is awesome and informative.
We saw old cars used for the Governor General, President and other head of nation. History
of construction of building, list of prior president with their belongings, their speeches
presented through laser lights. We have taken post tickets canvassing our personal photo.
It was proud feeling to witness the journey of highest office in India. We saw the items used
in kitchen of the President, crockery items, store room etc.
Thereafter we went to Red Fort and India Gate. Students and staff made huge shopping at
street market at famous Chandani Chowk.
Day 6- Delhi – Open Day
On 26th Feb. on the request of students an open day was declared. Students were permitted to
roam the city, to visit the places of their interest with due care and in group. Students visited
Kutub minar, market at Rajiv Chowk and other places. While Dr. Chavate and Khairnar Sir
visited the campus of Bharati Vidyapeeth, had discussion with Dr. Chandrasen Sawant Sir,
Regional Director, Delhi. He shared his memories of starting campus at Delhi. He proudly
said that the Bharati’s Engineering College is one of the renowned institutes.
Law Courses were recently started under the guise of Management institute. The campus
covers almost 8 acres. Academic buildings, Hostel, Gym Hall, Library and reading hall, Open
ampi theatre, Play ground, Guest house, staff quarters, all having CCTV surveillance and free
wi-fi zone.
Day 7- Agra-Mathura
With the golden memories we left Delhi to Agra on 27th Feb at 6.00am by bus. We reached
to Lal mahal at Agra. Before that we prayed to statue Shivaji Maharaj. It has historical
significance to Maharashtrians as great emperor Shivaji was kept at red fort by Aurangjeb,
Mughal king.
We saw Diwan-a-Aam, Diwan-a-Khas, other premise of the fort. Thereafter we moved to
enjoy the world’s precious beauty in form of Taj Mahal. The building was built by
Shahajahan in the memory of his late wife Mumtaj.
By 8.30pm we arrived at Mathura- birth place of Lord Sri Krishna. Unfortunately the doors
of temple were closed by the time we reached. We decided to stay there and take blessings
and darshana in the early morning. We stayed at soni dharamshala belonging to Hindu
minority charitable trust.
Day 8- Mathura- Gwalior
On next day 28th Feb. at 5.30am we reached at temple, enjoyed the mangal aarati. There were
beautiful temples of Radharani and lord Krishna. We left the Mathura by train to Gwalior by
10.30am.
We reached at Gwalior railway station around 2.30pm. Our stay arrangement was made at
Data Bandi Chhor Gurudwara located at famous Gwalior Fort. The fort has historical
significance especially for Sikhs. We enjoyed Prasad/Dinner at the langar of Gurudwara. It
was beautiful fort built by Maratha sardar namely Shinde/Scindia.
We saw Wada place where Palace is situated. The place is known as Bada surrounded by
huge street market.
Day 9- Gwalior- Karad
On 1st March we started our return journey by train at 10.00am we reach safely at Karad
Station by 2.00pm on 2nd March 2018.
Overall impression of the tour was splendid. First priority was to safety and security. No
student or staff was suffered due to pain, disease and without conflict of opinion. All the
participants have enjoyed the tour. Almost nine years later the Delhi tour was arranged under
the leadership of M. S. Khairnar, Asst. Prof. Thanks to all the staff members, student
participants, Dr. Sawant Sir and his team. Vijay Bandagar, Harish Lkhande, Shrishn Dupate,
Pratap Chavan these students have taken special efforts.
