Minutes of the HOD Meeting (14 September 2017)

1) Review of the Last Meeting

i) NBA: Review of documentation process and data entry in Ion Cudos software is

taken. All Heads ofthe Departments shall revise NBA SAR by considering 2016-17

as CAY and keep soft copy ready till 18th of September 2017.

ii) Ion Cudos: Review of data entry in Ion Cudos is taken. Electrical Engineering

Department has submitted result obtained from Ion cudos to principal office. Other

departments except Chemical Engineering has also completed data entry in ion cudos.

iii) Access Control System: Report of entry and exit at Access Control System for the

period 08/09/2017 to 14/09/2017 has been circulated to all the faculty members on

their official mail IDs. All Heads of the Departments shall call every faculty member

and discuss their report individually. Faculty members who are reporting late, leaving

early and lor frequently going out of college shall be warned about it.

iv) Peer Expert Information for NBA: As per the mail received from Dr. Nasa,

Member Secretary, NBA, data base regarding prominent persons to be recommend

for inclusion in the list of peers familiar with the higher education scene in the country

and should be able to give useful opinions on higher education institutions is being

prepared for NIRF peer Perception. Heads of the Departments are requested to add

names of peers from society, industry, and heads of government institutions such as

CW&PRS in the given format and submit soft copy to arbhalerao@bvucoep.edu.in

2) Report of the Academic Committee (21108/2017to 26/08/2017 and 28/08/2017 to

210912017): The report of academic committee for the period 21/08/2017 to 26/08/2017

and 28/08/2017 to 210912017 was circulated to all Heads of the Departments. Further;

all HODs submitted the report of the non-conduct of lectures I practicals for the period

14/08/2017 to 19/08/2017.

3) MSME: MSME Development Institute, Maharashtra has circulated the list of Micro,

Small and Medium Enterprises who .are willing for internship of M. Tech. students. All

Heads of the Departments shall identify the list of such enterprises of respective domain

and motivate students to opt the internship.

4) Wheebox Employability Skill Test (WEST): WEST (Wheebox Employability Skill

Test) is the pre- screening test in the country that is endorsed by Industry Bodies and

Academia alike. WEST helps employers to short list candidates using WEST scores and

the assessment provides initial transcript and detailed scorecards for each module to the

candidate highlighting the strengths and improvement areas. All Heads ofthe Department

shall encourage the third year and final year students to enroll on WEST and appear for

online test.

5) UKIERT- Research Proposal: UK India Education Research Initiative

(UKIERl) started in April 2006 with the aim of enhancing educational links between

India and the UK. It has been recognized as a key multi stakeholder programme that has

strengthened the educational relations between the two countries. Details regarding the

same was already circulated to all Heads of the Departments on mail (30/08/2017). Only

IT department has initiated a research proposal. Remaining Heads of the Departments

shall initiate the process of writing the proposal at the earliest.
