I am a resident of village Pratapur, Post Amanganj, tehsil Ajaygarh in Panna district of Madhya Pradesh.I have completed my graduation and am currently pursuing my post graduation in computer applications from Chhatarpur. I have eight sisters and two brothers who are dependent on my father’s earnings.

When I was studying in 12th STD, I was staying in a girl’s hostel in Ajaygarh. I completed my BA amidst great financial difficulty and managed by availing of some scholarships. In 2016, I was introduced to the work AIDMAM was doing by an activist. I attended a training in Saagar conducted by AIDMAM and got inspired to work for my community.

Shortly after that, some dominant caste people insulted a statue of Babasaheb at Utrkashta School in Panna district opposing which we openly agitated. Due to my participation in that agitation I came to be called Sherni [Lioness]. I look forward to continuing my work with AIDMAM for our common goals of social justice and equality.
