Registration details:

Registration fee is Rs .25001-(Rupees two thousand five hundred only). The registration fee includes course kit containing file with course material in CD, Note Pad, Pen, Lunch and Snacks. No TAIDA will be given. The participants can submit the duly filled registration form with DD drawn in favour of "Collection A/c of TANGEDCO, Chennai", Payable at Chennai and the same has to reach the coordinator on or before 25th of April 2012.

About the Training Programme:

TANGEDCO, the TamilNadu Generation and Distribution Corporation, as a state electric utility has got abundant resources of technically sound experts in various fields of generation, transmission and distribution. In the era of modernization of power system, the management, operation and maintenance of power system has become much more complex. It is evident that the practicing power system Engineers in TANGEDCO are exposed to most of the latest technological advancements in the field of Electrical Engineering.

On successful completion of the training programme on "Electricity Distribution Franchise" conducted by TANGEDCO in more than 140 Engineering Colleges, there was a call from the Engineering Colleges to impart training for the trainers in the field of Power System. It is felt that this kind of dissemination of knowledge and experience sharing will enrich the knowledge of the trainers (ie. Faculties of Engineering Colleges).

Now, TANGEDCO has come out with an idea of sharing the expertise of its own professionally trained Engineers with vast experience to the academic community as well as student community. It has been proposed to conduct two days training programmes for Engineering College Faculties and students on "Advanced Power System Protection" at Bhajarang Engineering College, on 2nd and 3rd of May,2012.

Resource Persons:

The resource persons will be from TANGEDCO in the cadre of Chief Engineer, Superintending Engineer, Executive Engineer and Assistant Executive Engineers with vast practical experience and knowledge in the field of Power system protection and also from relay manufacturing industry.
