Chapter I: College Graduation and Reminiscing

Arabella’s POV:

My alarm clock was ringing loudly that awakens me from my very beautiful sleep. I slam my hands into the idiotic alarm and sleepily walk to my bathroom and check my very appealing disgusting appearance, my hair look like a bird nest and my face looks like a zombie. I wash my face and my eyes caught my calendar, April 13, 2013 has a star with a red mark on it. I try to rack my brain  with what today’s event is but I can’t seem to remember.

My name is Arabella Cassandra West, 24 years old; I have a brown hair and eyes, five-foot-two in height and have curves. My thought was interrupted by my door being knocked so loud!

‘Shorty, please open your door, if you’re still sleeping, I will whack you in the face so hard with a pillow.’ My best friend yells at the door.

Daniel Chace Black, my very egoistic best friend, 25 years old, brown hair and eyes, six-foot-one tall and have a much built body. Oh well, I open my door and there he is with his handsome self.

‘Why are you still not in your graduation outfit?’ He asked me.

‘What graduation?’ His eyes widen and mine was bigger than his when realization sinks in.

‘Oh my God! It’s our graduation today, how could I forget about it!’ I slam my palm in my forehead, how could I forget about this. I frantically run to get my towel and went to my bathroom. When I forget my undergarment, I run out on the bathroom and went to my drawer to get my undergarment and my white dress that was hanged on my dresser that I didn’t seem to notice this  morning and I forgot that my best friend was standing and staring at me. 

‘Oh! Chacey winky, can you fix my toga and ?’

‘Sure.’ He said and I run to my bathroom and take a bath. After I’m done with it, I dress up and curl my long brown hair and apply light make up on my face. When I came out my toga and   was in my bed, I get it and slip on my red pumps and went downstairs where my dad and Cane Adrian my 20 years old brother who in his Third Year in College studying Civil Engineering was in the kitchen while Chace was cooking some bacon and eggs for breakfast.

‘Good morning guys!’ I greet them and kiss my dad and Cane on the cheeks. I went to the fridge and pour my glass with OJ  and sat down beside my Dad.

‘Good morning, pumpkin. Congratulation! You’re soon to be a graduate. Oh poor you, Chace was the Suma Cumlaude, why can’t you have his brain? Haha.’ My dad teased me. Yes, Chace is a genius! He takes a Degree of Doctorate; Major in Neurology while I master in Nursing.

‘Dad! You know that Bella is not that brainy.’ Cane said.

‘Hey! That’s mean! I do have a brain that’s why I finished my degree. Cane, you’re no better than me.’ 

‘At least I’m handsome with brain while you were born with just brain.’

‘What’s that supposed to mean?!’ I exclaimed.

‘He means, you’re brainy but not pretty!’ Chace said. I look at my brother with fire in my eyes!

‘Oh you better run!’ I warned him and his eyes went big and run out in the kitchen and I run after him. 

‘Shorty, you forgot something. You suck at running, idiot!’ Chace bellowed while I was running upstairs. And of course it’s true. Ugh. I stop running after Cane and went back to the kitchen with a defeat look.

‘Aww. Pumpkin that’s okay, better luck next time in catching him.’ My Dad said.

‘Chacey! ’ I look at my best friend and pout at him.

‘Shorty, you’re giving me that look! What do you want?’ He said.

‘Get Cane for me?’ I said with my puppy eyes.

‘Ooh Chace, no one can resist that look. Poor you.’ My Dad said.

‘Daddy!’ I give my Dad the same look. 

‘Okay! I’m gonna get my keys and my coat. Good luck with that Chace.’ My dad exclaimed and went upstairs to get his thing. I look at Chace again.

‘Ugh! Cane, get down here or I’ll give Belle all of your chocolates!’ Chace warned my brother and a running footstep came and my brother was breathing heavily.

‘You wouldn’t!’ Cane exclaimed.

‘Sorry, kiddo. You know no one can resist his puppy eyes.’ 

‘You’re wimped!’ Cane said.

‘Well, you know I love her.’ Chace said and froze when he realized what he just said. 

‘Uhm.. I forgot my wallet in our house. So, bye!’ He leaped out on the chair and run out to our house. I stand still and can’t move. My Dad came down.

‘What did I miss? Where’s Chace?’ My Dad asked.

‘He accidentally said that he loves Belle! I’m gonna go get my bag and lets go, we’re late for your graduation.’ Cane shrug and went to his room.

‘Oh, he just realized it right now? How wimpped he is!’ My Dad mumbled. 

‘What?’ I finally said.

‘Pumpkin, you and Chace has been best friend since you were in your diapers. We know that you both love each other, even blind man can feel that and you’re really obvious with your feelings, you’re an open book, darling. Go eat your breakfast and we can go.’ My Dad said. When I was done eating, I went to my room to brush my teeth and went outside where my Dad’s car is  waiting. 

Chace and I was best friend since we were kids. When we’re 10 years old, we always stay together during lunch breaks and after school while waiting for our parents to pick us up, my mom died when Cane was three years old, my Mom died because by Alzheimer’s Disease, when I was 7 years old. I have a picture of my Mom and I look just like her. She’s beautiful; I get all of her beautiful features. Chace and I always stays at the tree behind the school, Chace was a chubby little boy back then. His cheeks are so cute; you just want to pinch it every day. We both have a passion in music, we love to sing, and Chace has a beautiful voice, we both love to play guitar and construct lyrics. I still remember when we were still 10; we always fight on the silly things like who get to sing the first verse? Who always get late? Who’s the best? And after we argue, we don’t speak to each other but still meet at our meeting place after school but we don’t talk to each other and one of us will gave in and apologized and we’re good again. Chace is very protective of me ‘cause I always get sick and I’m a certified klutz. He only wants to be my only friend. One time when we’re in our classroom and we’re talking when Jake, one of my classmate interrupt us and Chace went nuts.

- Flashback –

Chace and I was sitting next to each other in our Science room, our teacher was absent because of some reason and we’re at the back talking about our song when Jake sat beside me and tap my shoulder, I looked at him and he smiled at me. Me, being a sweet and kind kid I smiled back at him.

‘Hi Belle.’ He said with a toothy grin.

‘Hello Jake, what’s brought you here?’ I asked him.

‘Oh. I just want to ask you if you want to have lunch with me later.’ He ask me and I look at Chace who’s sending daggers to Jake. Before I could answer, Chace speak.

‘Jake, leaves Belle and I alone, find your own best friend and stop disturbing us.’ 

Chace was always straightforward and sometime he’s rude.

‘Chacey!’ I exclaimed. I faced Jake and said. ‘I’m sorry, Jake but you know Chace.’ Everyone knows that Chace was a short-tempered boy.

‘It’s fine.’ Jake said and leaves us.

‘Chacey! That’s rude, can you at least tell him in a good way?’ I scolded him and face away from him.

‘Okay. I’m sorry.’ Chace apologized looking down at his paper.

- Flashback ends –

I chuckle when I remember that time. I barely remember my past life, only the most unforgettable moment’s stay. When we’re in high school, Chace and I still stays together. Lot of change happened. Chace is a handsome guy. There’s no doubt in that. Every girl in our school falls for him because of his look but he never notices them. Girls are jealous of me because I’m the only person who always with him. He’s in Basketball team and the MVP Player every year. The most memorable event in our high school year was our Senior Prom. He asked me to be his date. That’s when my feelings for him grow and became deeper than it was.

- Flashback-

I was in my room reading some books at five-o’clock in the afternoon when my phone rings. I immediately answered it because only one person will call me. Yes, I’m a loner and I’m not ashamed of it because Chace is enough.

‘Hello?’

‘Hey, Shorty. I have a surprise for you. Come outside and dress warm and take your jacket with you. I already asked your Dad so don’t worry.’ He didn’t let me answer back and hung up his phone. I stand up and dress in a dark blue skinny jeans and a purple tank top and take my black jacket and slip on my booths and went outside. The chilly air nipped my skin as I step outside. Chace was standing leaning on his car patiently waiting.

‘Hey Chacey!’

‘Hi Belle, Lets go?’ He said and I not. I slid into the passenger seat. We were in the road for an hour.

‘Chacey, where are we going?’ I asked him.

‘That’s for me to do and for you to find out.’ He said. After 10 minutes he stops the car in the side road. I curiously look at him. He gave me a blind fold.

‘What this for?’ I asked.

‘It’s a blindfold. Of course you put it your eyes, genius.’ 

‘Hey! I know what a blindfold is!’ I exclaimed.

‘Yes you do. Now, turn around, I’ll  put this to you.’ He said and I’m being a good girl I turned around and he put the blindfold in my eyes.

‘No peeking.’

‘How will I peek if I can’t see anything?’

‘Good. Sit tight and here we go.’ We drive for another 10 minutes and the car suddenly stop and Chace opened my door and help me get out.

‘Okay. Hold my hand and I’ll guide you.’ He said and held my hand while we walk. We climb some stairs and the air gets colder.

‘Where are we?’ I asked him.

‘Stay there, shorty. Okay? Be right back.’ 

‘Sure.’ He squeezes my shoulder and something rustles in the background and suddenly I felt his presence.

‘Okay take off your blindfold.’ He said in distance. I obey him and ripped the blindfold and what’s in front of me made me gasp and it caught my breath. 

‘Wow.’ Only one word describes what I’m feeling right now. I was standing on top of a mountain near a cliff, there’s a blanket with a basket of food and the view was amazing. 

‘You always want to see a sunset so I thought this would be a great time. I spent three days just to see what time the sun will set.’ He said and gesture me to sit on the blanket that he set. Once we’re settled, he gave me a box with food on it. I gasp in surprise when I saw what’s written on top of the Graham Cake.

‘Will you be my Date?’ That was written in Skittles. He knows how much I love Skittles. My smile grew when the five words sinks in. 

‘Oh My God! Yes!’ I exclaimed and jump on him to hug him.

‘Thank you! C’mon, let’s eat.’  We continue to eat the food he prepared. After we eat and we’re both full.  He put the finished food in the basket and stands up and held out his hand while the other hand held the basket, I fix the blanket and held my  hands on him. We went back to his car and he start the engine and drive.

‘Where are we going, Chace?’ 

‘Somewhere.’ He said and continues to drive. After 30 minutes we arrived at a Bowling Alley? 

‘What are we doing here?’ I asked him while taking off my seatbelt. 

‘What does it look like?’ He said and slid out of the car and opens my door. 

‘We’re on a Bowling Alley?’ 

‘Thank you, Captain Obvious!’ He said sarcastically.

‘You’re welcome, Lieutenant Sarcasm!’ I answer back. We looked at each other. 

‘Have I told you that I don’t know how to bowl?’ I remind him. 

‘Oh yes, I know!’ He said and winks at me. This guy! We went inside and walk to the counter to get our Bowling shoes. 

‘Size 7 for girls and 10 for boys.’ He said. The lady gave us our shoes and we proceed to our Bowling area. We enter our name which we goofed around.

He named me; ‘Bella Belly’ 

I named him; ‘Chacey Stinky’ 

‘Chace, I don’t know how to play.’

‘It’s easy. Here let me show you. ‘After 5 minutes of tutor. I began to know how. Chace went first and he knocks the entire pin down. 

‘Ha! Beat that Belly!’ He challenged me. 

‘I know how to play now.’ I went and get the ball and I roll the bowl and it went on the side that knocks only two pins. Chace laughed and I glared at him and that shut him up. I went again for the second time and I managed to get the ball at the center and it strikes five pins. Which left 3 pins and Chace hollered.

‘Ha. I win!’ He stuck his tongue out. We continue to play until the score was 57-70. Of course, I was the 57. We went outside and slid into his car and we decide to go home. It’s almost 10 in the evening when we arrived. Chace walk me through our door.

‘Goodnight Bells! See you tomorrow. ‘He kissed my cheeks and waved and went to his car to park his car to their garage. I open the door and went inside and walk upstairs to my room. I changed into my PJ’s and went to my bed and sleep.

- Flashback Ends-

That day was very memorable and how cute he is when he asked me. He was very cold and distant to other but to me, he’s  sweet and caring. I was stop to my daydream when we stop infront of our school. I slid out and fix my dress and hair and walk with my Dad and Cane. Dad and Cane sat on the bleacher beside the field where other parents are sitting. I went to my corresponding seat and the program starts.

‘Please welcome with warm of applause our Suma Cumlaude, Daniel Chace Black for his speech.’ Mr. Spencer said and we all clap and cheer. Chace walked to the stage and bow his head with his toothy grin and start with his speech.

‘Good morning, Batch of 2013, we are all gathered today as we welcome a new chapter of our life, as we go on today I hope we all remember what we’ve been through together, what we’ve learn together. We have our ups and down. When I was a kid, I dreamt of being a Doctor when I grow up so I study hard to pursue my dream, I strive hard when I was in High School and became  the Valedictorian, I first take Psychology than after I graduate, I then take my Doctorate degree; Major in Neurology. I studied non-stop and give my best and look where it takes me. I have people who inspired me to be who I am right now. My Dad, Mom, Friends, Relatives, Teachers and of course the only person who’s been there for me from the start, Ms. Arabella Cassandra West. As we finished this journey, I hope we enjoy and learn what College year been to us. For me, it’s takes sweat and hardwork to be here but it’s all worth it when you see the smile of the most important person in your life plastered the biggest proud smile on their face. It was worth everything. For my fellow who takes their exam, we will pass it without a doubt. Godbless everybody’ we all smiled and stand up and clapped at him. All of his Batch mate hollered and cheer for him. I’m so proud of him. Principle Spencer gave him his Certificate and congratulates him. Chace went down and sit on his chair when Mrs. Meester introduces the candidates by their Last Name Alphabetically.

‘Black, Daniel Chace y Smith.’ Mrs. Meester said and Chace take his diploma and bow his head. 

‘West, Arabella Cassandra y Crawford.’ When my name was called, I stand up and went to stage to get my diploma. My smile was so big that my jaw starts to ache. Mrs. Meester hand me my diploma and I get it from her and stand to the center and  bow. When the program ends, all togas were tossed. I run to my Dad and hug him and Cane.

‘Dad! I did it.’ I exclaimed.

‘Yes, pumpkin, you did it.’ He said.

‘Goodness Gracious! At last, you graduated! Praise the Lord!’ Cane exclaimed and kneels down. I elbow his stomach.

‘Shut up! ‘I said. Chace and his parent walk to us.

‘Congratulation, Bells!’ Anna, Chace’s Mom hugs me and I hug her back. Chace’s mom is beautiful and looks young and Greg, Chace’s Dad is a carbon copy of Chace except a little older. They’re both in their 40’s.

‘Thank you, Anna and Greg.’ 

Suddenly two small pair of hands hugs my legs. I look down and Savannah, Chace’s  years old sister.

‘Congwatuwation, Belly Bells!’ He said. Aww! She’s so cute.

I bend down and kiss both of his cheeks.

‘Thank you, Sav!’ She opens her little arms and I carried her into my arms. 

‘So, what’s your plan?’ Greg asked.

‘You guys want to have a Dinner?’ My Dad asked.

‘Nandos!’ Sav and I said at the same time. 

‘Okay. Nandos it is.’ We all agreed and we all jumped into the car. My Dad and Greg was infront while Me, Chace, Cane and Anna at the back with Sav sitting on my lap. I looked at the people surround me right now and all I can say.

‘I’m contented. This is life.’ I smiled at that thought. 

Chapter II: New Beginning

Arabella’s POV

We all piled up in our car. Sav was playing with my hair while Cane and Chace was talking about something a girl Cane like.

‘What’s her name?’ Chace asked.

‘Ariana Carrie Greyson.’ Cane said shyly. 

‘Aww. Cane and Carrie sitting on a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G! Lalalala.’ Sav sing cutely. Cane blushed furiously.

‘Ooh! Cane is blushing.’ Chace teased.

‘Oh shut up! You just admit that you love Belle at the house.’ Cane said and Chace’s cheeks were redder than a fire truck.

‘Aww. My baby finally admits it.’ Anna cooed and pinched his cheeks.

‘Mom! Shut up!’ Chace said looking at his lap.

‘Chace’s embarrassed? Aww. Look, Belle! He’s blushing!’ 

‘MOM! Dad, make mom shut up!’ Chace said looking flushed.‘Honey! Stop embarrassing Chace or else.’ Greg warned his wife.

‘Or else what Gregory?’ Anna challenged.

‘Or else I’ll tell them the time you the time you try to steal at a –‘Greg voice was muffled when Anna slapped his palm to his mouth.

‘Okay okay! I’ll shut up! You don’t have to tell them that!’ Anna said flushed.

‘What it is?’ Chace said intrigued.

‘Nothing! Albert, please step on the gas! Faster!’ Anna demand to my Dad! Anna removed her hands and just shut up.

‘This is new! This is the first time Dad wins over Mom!’ Chace laughed.

‘Oh! Shush you! Or else I’ll give Belle all of you embarrassing pictures!’

‘Ooooh! Can you give it to me?!’ I excitedly asked Anna.

‘NO!’ 

‘OK!’ Chace and his Mom simultaneously said. We just laughed at them two bickering, I miss you, Mom. I looked at the window when my phone rings. I looked at the caller and Andrea’s name flashed. 

‘Hello!’ I greet.

‘Hey Skit! Happy Graduation! You finally made it! Woohoo!’ Andrea and Kian, her husband yelled at the same time. 

‘Thank you, Kiandrea! So when are you guys coming here?’

‘Tomorrow we’ll be there, Skit! So, what are you guys doing?’

‘We’re at the road right now and having Dinner at –‘ I didn’t get to finished when they both shout.

‘NANDOS!’ Yes, they know that I love Nandos.

‘Yes, yes we are going there!’ 

‘So, did Chace admit his Oh-So-Hidden-Love to you?’ Andrea asked and I blushed.

‘You’re blushing right now, are you?’ Kian and Chace laughed. Chace was eavesdropping at our conversation! Sneaky!

‘You guys are mean! I’m hanging up! Goodbye! See you guys tomorrow!’ I exclaimed and ended the call and pout at Chace who’s laughing.

‘Don’t laugh at me!’ I said and slapped his chest and let me tell you one thing, I was the one who got hurt not him! Stupid abs! 

‘Aww you’re face look really flushed.’ Chace teased and hug me and suddenly there’s a flashed of a camera and his Mom was smiling at us.

‘Oh don’t mind us. Go on.’ His Dad said.

‘Chace, Are you sure that you love my daughter?’ Dad asked.

‘Dad!’

‘What? I’m making sure if he’s sure with you. Poor Chace, he’s stuck with you!’ 

‘What’s that supposed to mean?!’ I exclaimed.

‘Oh nothing, pumpkin! Oh here we are.’ And finally we arrived. Sav and I practically leaped out on our chair and run inside while shouting ‘Peri-Peri’ repeatedly and people looking at us weirdly.

‘That is not my daughter.’ Greg and my Dad said at the same time. We are all seated in one booth when the waitress arrived and looking at Chace.

‘Good morning! My name is Kelly and I’ll be your waitress for the day. What’d you guys want to order?’ She asked sweetly smiling at Chace! I glared her and I really want to rip her eyes!

‘Pumpkin, you’re killing the waitress with your eyes. What is your order?’ My dad said and I was awake from my killing technique. Ha!

‘Pepsi and Peri-Peri’ I said looking at my lap. I feel like someone is staring at me and I look up and Chace was looking at me intently. I look at down again when he asked.

‘So what time Kian and Andrea arrived here?’ He asked.

‘I forgot to ask them but I guess is morning.’ He didn’t ask further and I know you guys want to know who Kian and Andrea  is. 

After our graduation in High School, Chace and I decide to study at WNEU in Massachusetts. Oh we’re both from California. Chace decide to take up Psychology while I take Caregiving course. We both decide to have new friends because not all the time we should be together. Chace actually met Andrea and I met Kian. Actually, our first met together was hilarious.

- Flashback-

It was our first day at WNEU. Chace was wearing a jeans and black V-neck and his converse while I’m wearing a black tank top and a skater skirt that stop in mid-thigh and a brown ankle booths and a red long-sleeves blazer.

We both slid into his car and it’s a 15 minutes’ drive to go there. 

‘Chace try to gain some friends in your school.’

‘Why?! I don’t want to have any other friend except for you.’ 

‘We have different schedules and it’s not like we’re gonna together every day and please?’ I plead with my you-can-never-say-no-to-me look. 

‘Okay! Geez, I need to be immune with that look!’ He said and I hug him and kiss his cheeks. We both arrived at our new school and went to our respective classes. We both have our vacant at lunch, which was the only time we both are free and we decide to meet. Classes are simple, introduce, our teacher show us our syllabus for the whole first semester and what to expect in our class. After my 3 classes, I’m with Kian; I met him during our College Algebra. His name was Kian Robert Lawley. We both wait for Chace at the bench beside the hallway from Chace’s room. He’s asking how Chace and I met, if we are together and me being an  open book, he teased me of liking him. After 2 minutes Chace arrived with a girl who’s really gorgeous and our eyes lighten up when our gaze met but suddenly the two people we’re with was shouting at each other, Kian and Andrea is. They are both bickering like a  five years old kid; no they are worse than a five years old kid!

‘You two know each other?’ Chace and I asked simultaneously. 

‘NO!’ They both yelled at us. Chace and I both wide eyes, he nod his head like saying lets-get-out-of-here before there will  be a rumble but before we step one foot, Andrea attacked Kian and she’s slapping Kian’s face and Kian’s blocking it. 

‘Chace, stop them, Dufus! Don’t just stare!’ I scold at Chace because he’s staring at the amused. I slap his head and glare at  him.

‘What was that for?’ He asked while rubbing his head.

‘Stop the or else we’ll be like that for any second now and we’ll be worse than them!’ I warned him. His eyes widen and grab Andrea’s waist and take him away from Kian and suddenly there’s a knot in my stomach when I saw them. Andrea was kicking and wailing at Chace’s arms while Kian hide at my back.

‘Oh my! That girl is a monster. Thank you, my savior!’ He exclaimed and hug me so tight. I looked at Andrea who seems to calm. We both decide to go to Nandos and eat there. Well, I convinced them and throw tantrums to Chace to go there.

‘Dude, you’re wimp!’ Kian said.

‘Shut up! And you’re no better, you’re afraid of Andrea!’ 

‘Everyone will be afraid of that Amazon!’ Kian said while pointing at Andrea who seems to be angry again and sending daggers to Kian.

‘Dude, stop provoking her.’ I will not rescue you when she explodes. She and Belle really like twins.’ Chace said.

‘Yeah! Girls are hard to spells, they attack!’ Kian said and Chace’s nod in agreement. Andrea and I look at each other and we both nod our head and attack by pulling their hair hard, me with Kian and Andrea with Chace. 

‘Aw. Aw. Stop this, woman!!’ They exclaimed while trying to rip our hands to their hand. We exchanged and I leaped to Chace and pull his hair. When Kian and Chace free from our torture they both run while wailing and shouting ‘Ahhhh. Crazy beautiful abnormal woman!’. Andrea and I laugh at them because they look like idiots and people start to look at them. We hi-five and sat down and eat our Peri Chicken. 

We’re both having fun, laughing, girl talk when the two idiots came back with their hands on the back. We look at each other and shrug and continue to eat and ignore the two boys. When suddenly they run to us and before we can react, they begin to tickle us. We squeal and try to get away from their hands. People start to stare at us. Chace’s know where all my weak spot is and he begin to tickle me so hard. Andrea and I both are laughing so hard that there are tears in our eyes.

 ‘I’m hahaha gonna haha pee! Please stop. Hahaha. Oh God!’ Andrea and I said at the same time.

‘Say that Kian and Chace are the most handsome, sexy, most dashing guy ever and we, girls always loose at them.’ They say.

‘NEVER!’ We both girl said and they tickle us more. I began to feel light-headed. When I can’t take it anymore, I sigh in defeat and said. 

‘Kian and Chace are the most handsome, sexy, most dashing guy ever and we, girls always loose at them.’ Andrea and I said at the same time and the boys stand up and hi-five and laugh. When we recover. We was about to grab them when the Manager yelled at us.

‘GET OUT OF HERE! RIGHT NOW OR ELSE WE’LL GONNA CALL THE POLICE!’ Her face was so red and when we look around, our table was on the floor and our food was scattered at the floor and people are staring at us and some customer was wet from the water that fall out when the table was flipped when they attack us. When no one moves, the manager begins to throw water on us. Chace held my hands and Kian held Andrea’s and we all frantically run out to the restaurant. When we’re in a safe, we look at each other and laughed. When I look at my watch, it was 4 in the afternoon, my eyes widen.

‘Oh My God, we spend 4 hours there and I ditch two of my subjects and it’s my first day.’ I exclaimed with my hands in my head. 

‘I ditch only one.’ Chace and Andrea said.

‘I ditch nothing because I don’t have subject today.’ Kian grin at us. Lucky idiot!

And that day, our freaking riot friendship starts.

- Flashback ends-

I was smiling like a Cheshire cat when I remember our first meeting with Kiandrea. It was epic.

‘Hey. You look stupid with that smile, shorty. What are you thinking? Is that the first day we met the two troublemakers?’ Chace asked. I look at him in disbelieve. How did he know that?

‘I told you, you’re an open book.’ He said.

‘Yes, I am.’ I smiled at him. Once our food arrived and we begin to eat. When we finished, we’re about to go when Chace held my hand to stop me.

‘Uhm, Can we go somewhere?’ He asked. I nod and we both walked out. We both waved at our parents and promise them to see them soon. Chace take a cab and went back to school to get his car. When we arrived it was 5 in the afternoon, it’s a bit chilly and I was only with my white dress. 

‘You’re shivering. Here take my coat.’ Chace said and shrug his coat and give it to me and I put it on me and he hold my hands and we walked to his car and slid in. He starts the engine and drive away. He turns on the music and we put in a comfortable silence. I take a look at Chace and his knuckles were white when he grips the steering wheel. He seems nervous. My curiosity is  killing me and mouth has its own mind. 

‘Chace, are you okay? You seems so tense.’ I asked him worriedly.

‘I’m fine.’ He said. I just look away and didn’t ask for any question. We’re driving for 30 minutes when the Fairview was in the sight. I look at Chace.

‘You brought me here because?’ I asked grinning at him. I love places like this!

‘Because you love it here and this is the second time we came here again?’ 

‘YAY!’ I squeal and hug him. He open the door for me and we both walk through the entrance and Chace pays. 

‘So where do you want to go first?’ He asked and my eyes immediately went to.

‘Rollercoaster? Why did I even ask?’ He smile and shake his head. He held my hand and pulls me through the line; well it’s not that long.  When it’s our turn, we gave our ticket and sit infront. We buckle up and put the seatbelt. We held hands and when  it’s slowly getting up, Chace held my hands tight and when we’re at the top and suddenly we slide down fast, we scream so loud and that happened for 5 minutes and the ride came to a stop and we stand and walk out. 

‘Where to next?’ He asked. We went to Bump Cars and even the Carousel, We just laugh and take a lot of photos, and we just goof around. We’re walking holding hands when my eyes got a glimpse of the photo booth and me being vain, I pull Chace to  the booth. Chace insert the coins and we went inside and pose.

The first one was we just smile at the camera, the second was a wacky pose and the third shot was when he kissed my cheeks and I blushed immediately and the fourth one was I kissed his cheeks and he just look at me at the corner of his eyes and the last one when I was about to asked him what to do in this pose when we both face each other and our lips met and flashed and our face look both flush. 

I was still in shock when we walk out to the booth and Chace get the photo strip and when I look at it, it was so adorable,  we kept each other’s copy. When we walk again we bought a cotton candy and we both agree that our last ride was the Ferris wheel. We’re riding when the ride stops at the top and I look down and they just thumb up to Chace, I look at him curiously when he gave me a sweet grin. He held my hands and he softly moves his thumbs in circles.

‘Belle, We’ve been friends since God knows when and since I’ve met you, no other girls caught my eyes. I felt this pull with you when we’re in high school when you always at my side, always brings me lunch, when I’m sad you do silly things just to make me laugh. I was afraid to court you because I promise your Dad to court you when we graduate in College. Your Dad seems to love me a lot because he scare all the guys who wants to court you.’ He chuckles and I look at him in disbelief.

‘All this time, I thought no one likes me!’ I exclaimed. He bust in laughters and I glare at him, he kissed my cheeks.

‘Sorry, Shorty. That was your Dad’s fault. May I continue my oh-so-great-confession?’ I nod and laughed at him.

‘Well, when we’re in College, you’re Dad told me that I can court you but I was so afraid to admit and I chicken out and I promised myself that when we graduate and I have a title to give to you, I will confess to you and its tonight.’ He look at me in the eyes when he pull something out in his pocket and there’s a red box and he gave it to me. Is he proposing? 

‘I’m not proposing, Shorty! It’s just a prmise ring.’ He laugh at my flush face.

‘So, can you do the honor and be my Officially Best Friend, Girlfriend and soon to be wife?’ He asked. I was In tears when he asked me that. I slap his head and wipes my tears.

‘Of course! Idiot, I’ve been waiting for you to confess to me!’ I said and hug him. When all of the suddenly a fireworks came to the view and I stared in awe when it was shaped as a heart. I look at him and smile.

‘I love you, Shorty.’ He said.

‘I love you too, Stinky!’ He peck my cheeks.

‘Can you change your endearment to me?’ He asked.

‘Nope! You know you like it?’ I teased and wiggle my eyebrows. We just laugh and the rides resume. There’s a stage at the center and there’s a band that playing. 

‘Babe, I’ll be back. Wait here.’ Chace said. I nod and I just stand here. I was standing in front of the stage when there’s a sudden commotion at the stage. And a groovy song played and I gasp when I saw who was in the stage. The crowd went wide when he start to sing ‘Better Than Words’ by One Direction played.

He was looking at me the whole time. All the girls scream when he swayed through the tune. He looks amazing up there. Whenever the Chorus came he look straight through my eyes and point at me like a gun and shoot me with wink. The crowd went nuts. After the song, people are shouting ‘MORE MORE MORE.’ He just waved at them and walk down the stage. While I was waiting for him, I was smiling ear to ear. I can’t believe he did that. Chace has an amazing voice. Someone hug me from behind and kiss my cheeks.

‘Lets go. Its late and I promise your Dad to get you home before 10 o’clock.’ He said and held my hands. We walked to his car and we went home. He walk me to our door, he was about to kiss me when my Dad’s open the door and Anna and Greg heads popped out. Chace clear his throat.

‘DAD! MOM! You’re still here?’ C’mon, let go home.’ Chace exclaimed. We both look flushed.

‘Are you two together?’ They all asked.

‘Yes.’ We both answer.

‘GOOD! Okay, lets go home now. Albert, thank you for the dinner, it was amazing. Greg, Chace and I will go home now, it was late and Savannah was already sleeping.’ Anna said and get Sav inside. 

‘Bye sweetie.’ Anna hug and kiss my cheeks. They went home and Dad and I went inside our house.

‘Where’s Cane?’

‘At his room. So where did you guys go?’ My Dad asked. I just smile at him and kiss his cheeks.

‘Goodnight, Dad.’ I said and pat his back.

‘Hey! No fair! I want all details! Right now.’ My Dad said in his most girly voice. I burst in laughter’s.

‘Goodnight, Dad!’ I said and run upstairs laughing.

‘You pay for this, young lady.’ He yelled.

‘I love you, Dad!’ I yelled.

‘I love you too, pumpkin.’ He yelled back.

‘I LOVE YOU BOTH.’ Cane yelled. I laughed.

‘WE DON’T LOVE YOU CANE!’ We shout. 

‘I HATE YOU TWO!’ He yelled. I just shake my head and smiled and, my phone beeps.

I smiled at the text and write back.

I place my phone at my study table and take a shower. I wore my pink cotton short and Chace black shirt. I went to my bed with the biggest smile on my face. 

‘I have the most amazing people in my life!’

I woke up with the ray of lights blinding me with my phone ringing. I lazily roam my hands around my side table to locate where I always put my phone and it was nowhere to be found. I was too lazy to get up so I just crawl around my bed trying to find my phone that stop ringing. I still trying to find my missing in action phone when I accidentally trip in my sheet where my feet was tangle in my blanket and fell off to bed with a loud thud. I face plant on the floor when the door burst open and my Dad and brother were staring at me like I’m a lunatic.

‘Pumpkin, what are you doing at the floor?’ My Dad asked.

‘I can’t find my phone; I put it in my side table last night.’

‘Darling, your phone is in the study table.’ My Dad said and point my sneaky phone that was really in my study table.

‘I remember putting that in my side table.’ I mumble. 

‘Just because you and Chace are together, you’re being forgetful.’ Cane said.

‘C’mon, pumpkin. Breakfast is ready.’ My Dad said and they walk out to my kitchen. I look at my phone and the clock read 8:30 in the morning and I received a message from Chace that he’ll be here in a hour. I stand up and walk to my drawer and get my undergarment and a black and white flowery skater skirt and a cream color lace crop top. I get my towel and walk to my bathroom and take a bath. After 30 minutes I was done. I blow dry my hair and let it loose in curls, I apply a light make up and slip on my brown ankle booth and went downstairs. My Dad and Cane sitting at our kitchen counter and Chace was cooking.

‘Hey, why it is does Chace always cooks breakfast for us? Are you two forcing him to cook every morning?’ I asked the two who look at me innocently. 

‘No, we just asked him to cook for us because his better cook than you and when we decide to cook before we end up burning the toaster and Cane instead of a sunny side up it became sunny burning up.’ My Dad mumbles and looks at his lap. I just shake my head at them.

‘When did you two decide to cook exactly?’ I asked. 

‘Uhm. When we’re alone and we’re hungry and you’re in your Class retreat and we try to cook.’ Cane said whiles his rubbing the back of his head. I chuckle at their flush face.

‘So, you are our Official Chef?’ I asked Chace.

‘Yes and Good morning.’ Chace said and kissed my cheeks.

‘Good morning to you too.’ I said and smile at him.

‘Ugh! You two are gross!’ My Dad and Cane said with a gross sound. We just laughed at the making a vomit sound. Chace prepare eggs and bacon. I pour some OJ in my glass and we start to eat. After we eat. I put our dirty plates in the sink and start to  wash all of it, after I’m done with it. I dry my hands and walk to the couch where the three men were watching Basketball where it’s  Miami Heat vs. L.A Lakers. They were all shouting and cheering. We agreed to take a bet on who will win. Chace and I bet on Heat while Dad and Cane was a big fan of Lakers. The game was heated and it was 4th Quarter when its 99 – 97, Heat was ahead when it’s last 5 seconds when Bryant shoot the ball and it was tied. We all cheered when the score was tied. They fight for the OT and when  the time’s up, the score was 110 – 108 and Chace and I cheered and have our victory dance and stuck our tongue out to the losers.

‘Ha! You two lose! C’mon, 20 bucks!’ We both teased to Dad and Cane with their pouting and defeat faces. Chace and I hi-five and dancing around. I look at the clock and its already 12 in the noon when we decide to deliver pizza that Dad paid. We ate while watching ‘Life of Pi’. Kian and Andrea will arrived 3 in the afternoon. I look at them while eating and eyes glued at the movie in the screen.

I always miss my Mom because I want to have a girl to talk to, I was 3 when my Mom always braid my hair and take care of  me. 

- Flashback –

*3 years old Belle*

Three years old Belle was sitting in their living room when her Mom walks and sit beside her. She looks at her daughter with full of Love and her swollen 6 months belly. 

‘Mommy! Can you play with me and my dolls? I’ll fix their hair while you choose their dress.’ The chubby brown hair Belle asked her Mom who was close in tears, she was suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease, she just have the news when Belle was one, she want to bear 2 child a boy and a girl that was her longest dream.

‘Mommy, why you crying?’ Belle asked her Mom.

‘Nothing, baby! You’re growing so fast, look at you, you look so beautiful.’ 

‘Mommy, I’m beautiful because I got it from you. Mommy, don’t cry, I kiss your tears so they stop.’ Belle stand up and walk  to her Mother and kiss her Mom’s close eyes, her Mom  try to suppress her tears from falling. 

‘Thank you, baby. Give Mommy a chicken kiss.’ She grab little Bella and she giggle and kiss her Mom’s cheeks many times.

‘I love you, Mommy.’ She said and hug her Mom.

‘I love you too, baby! C’mon, lets play!’ They play and play.

- Flashback Ends – 

I smile at that memory. A hand wipes my face that I didn’t know I was crying. I look at Chace and he hug me. My Dad sit beside me and rub my back while Cane sit in front of me and held my hands. This is why I love them so much they always knew that I only cry when I remember my Mom. We sat in a comfortable silence when my Dad speaks.

‘You know pumpkin. You really look like your Mom, your nose really looks red and you both pout when you cry.’ My Dad tells me and smile at me.

‘Really?’ I asked my Dad. He smiled and nod at me.

“I remember when you’re still 4 months and it’s your first time to kick, your Mom went nuts and call me while I was in my meeting and she yelled at me to come home immediately and end the call, I thought something happen to your Mom, I cancel all my meeting and went home fast when I arrived your Mom was sitting in the couch and her hands was holding her tummy and smiling, she looks like a kid that wins a candy.

‘Baby! C’mon kick for Mommy again.’ She laughs and cheer. I look at her and fell in love all over again. She look really happy.

‘Hon, why did you call? Something happen?’ I asked. Her eyes light up and grin at me.

‘Hone, come here. She kicks!’ She excitedly tell me while gesture me to go to her. I walk to her and sit infront of her. 

‘Baby. Its Daddy, Come on kick for me.’ I wait for the kick but nothing came. I pout.

‘She didn’t kick.’ I told your Mom.

‘Oh. Well, better luck next time, Hon.’ She said and I pout.

‘NO! Baby. Its Daddy, C’mon kick for me. I’ll give you lot of toys and candy.’ I talk to her tummy.

‘Hon, maybe she’s asleep.’ Your Mom said.

‘Then I will wake her up.’ I told her and literally lift her shirt up and tickle her.

‘Wake up, baby!’ I said and tickle your Mom’s tummy.

‘Hon, you’re tickling me. C’mon, give it up. Come here, lets watch.’ She said to. I just pout while my hands still in her tummy.

‘You don’t love Daddy!” I said and suddenly there’s a light kick in her stomach. My eyes widen and grin at your Mom. I was  happy that time when you first kick, pumpkin.   My Dad was crying when he was done, I was worse than him. I look like a mess, crying. Cane and Chace shed tears too. I hug my Dad.

‘I love you, Dad.’ 

‘I love you too, babe. Look, its two o’clock. Get ready, Kiand and Andrea will be arrive here soon.’ My Dad said and wipe my tears. I look at Chace and Cane and kiss their cheeks. 

‘I’m gonna fix myself.’ I tell them and went to my room and wash my face and brush my teeth. I reapply my make-up. When I was done, I came downstairs.

‘Lets go.’ Chace said and he held my hands and we slid in to his car and he drives to the airport. We arrived in the airport and its exactly three in the afternoon. We wait for them and when a brown hair girl and boy came to view with a little girl in their arms. Yes, Kian and Andrea got married 3 years ago and it their 3 years old son, Ryan Hunter Lawley. 

‘Hello guys! Oh my Gosh. You look beautiful!’ Andrea said and we both hug each other and Kian and Chace man-hug. We walk to the car and slid in. Chace and Kian infront while Andrea and I at the back with Hunter who was playing in his father’s iPod. 

We talked all through the ride. When we arrived at our house, we went inside and Anna, Greg and Sav was there. 

‘Kian! Andrea! You all look so old!’ Cane said and hugs them and they both slapped Cane’s head.

‘Ow. Geez, you two are still sadist! Tss. Hi Hunter! Want to play X-box?’

‘Sure.’ Hunter just shrug his shoulder and turn off his iPod and walk to living where Cane’s setting up the X-box.

‘Are you sure Hunter is just Three years Old?’ I asked while looking at Hunter who casually sitting in the floor. 

‘Yes. He really likes an 18 years old boy. He got that from his father.’ Andrea said. We all set up the table with all of the foods. We talked, eat and goof around for 7 hours when we decide to sleep. Hunter and Sav played X-box and Hunter lose to Sav and they fight for two hours and play and play but still Sav wins. Hunter came walking to his parents.

‘Dad, Mom, I don’t want to play with Sav anymore!’ He said and walk to the guest room and play his iPod.  We just laughed at him.

Chace and I went up to my room and sleep. Just sleep.

‘Goodnight, babe!’ We said to each other and went to sleep.

Chapter III: Blessing, Success and Happiness

Arabella’s POV:

‘Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!’ We suddenly woke up by a scream then a running footstep disturbs our peaceful sleep. My room door burst open and Andrea jump to us and squeal while holding a paper that was wrinkle with her grip.

‘Calm down, woman! What happened?’ Chace asked and look at the crazy girl who is grinning like a maniac. She gave us the paper and I get it from her hands and read it and my eyes widen when I read every line. 

Mr. Daniel Chace Black,

Congratulation!

You’ve passed your Neurology Licensure Exam with an average score of 97.15%. You ranked as the Top 1 of NLE 2013.

Chace gave me the other letter and my eyes grew bigger when I read message inside.

Ms. Arabella Cassandra West,

Congratulation!

You’ve passed your Nursing Licensure Exam with an average of 91.20%. You ranked as the Top 5 of NLE 2013.

Dad, Cane, Greg, Anna, Sav, Kian and Hunter was hugging us and congratulate us. I can’t believe we passed and we’re on Top. It’s not really a big deal for me that I’m Top 5 and Chace is Top 1. I always knew that Chace would top that exam. He tutored me and reviews me. My dream came true. 

When my Mom dies, I was 7 and Cane was 4 years old. When Cane’s was born, my Mom never breastfeed Cane because it was dangerous for him. I was 5 and Cane was 1 year old when I saw how my Mom always ask my Dad who are we? She doesn’t recognize us. My Dad was crying all night because he can’t do anything. When I saw my Mom’s pain, I promised to myself that I will take up nursing to help her and to make her okay. Chace has always been there for me. I remember how he told me that he wants to be a Doctor to make my mother okay and so that I’ll never shed tears again.

- Flashback –

5 years old Belle:

I was in Cane’s room reading him some stories. He was asleep when I heard a rustling outside. I kiss Cane’s cheeks and went out. I saw my Dad and Mom dancing slowly with my Mom’s favorite song. They were both crying.

‘Dad what happened to Mom?’ I asked while crying.

‘Nothing, baby. Can you call Aunt Anna and Uncle Greg to come here?’ My Dad asked me while crying and fakes a smile at me. I nod and run to the telephone to tell them to go here. 

They arrived and they went to the Hospital. I was in my room with Chace. He’s hugging me while I was crying. 

‘Why does it hurt? My Mom will be here tomorrow and remember us, right?’ I sniff and asked Chace.

‘Of course, Belle, stop crying. I promise when I grow up, I will be Doctor to make your mother okay and so that you’ll never shed tears again.’ He promise and kiss my cheeks until I sleep. That was the time I promised myself to be a Nurse to help my Mom and other people.

- Flashback ends – 

That promised we have right now. I hug my Dad so tight and kiss his cheeks. 

‘Mom will be so proud of me.’ I told my Dad and he hug me tighter and there are tears in the back of my shirt.

‘Yes, baby. She will be so proud. When we had our On-Job-Training, I chose to go to an elderly because I want to take care of old people who have Alzheimer’s disease. I always asked Chace to me about this sickness and he said it has no cure. It breaks my heart every time I see my patient who’s suffering from Alzheimer. We’re assign one patient/person. I still remember Carla, my patient. She’s 67 and has an Alzheimer’s. I take care of her. She was like a newborn child who has no clue to the world.

- Flashback –

I never met my Grandmother, so I decide to have my training at London Elderly Charity, Chace and I have our training in London, he was assigned to Royal London Hospital, it was the best hospital in London. 

I was assigned to take care of Carla Jacobs. When I first saw her my heart whelms. I walk to her and she’s drawing a face but it’s not that clear. 

‘Hi Carla, I’m Belle!’ I greet her and smiled at her but she just looks at me with a smile and asked me if I could play with him. I said yes and she went in her room and never came back. I walk inside and she’s sitting while staring at Mirror.

‘Carla, I though we’ll going to play?’ I asked him.

‘Who are you?’ She asked me and my heart breaks when she said that. I just smiled at her. When she stand up there’s a liquid in the floor. I was close to tears. This was a heartbreaking disease. She doesn’t even notice that she peed. I smile at him and clean his urine that was in floor, I change her clothes and went to the Canteen to feed her. She doesn’t know how to hold a spoon and forks or how to eat. She always complains and cry because her head is aching and her eyesight was blurry. 

I take care for her for one year but when I end my On-Job-Training she died because of brain clogged. I cried so much when she died; she was attached to me so much but I was glad she died, not because I want too but because I don’t want her to suffer more. There are times when she doesn’t even know how to breathe and we teach her how to inhale and exhales. Her children and grandchildren always visit her but she never notices any of them and she plays with her own grandchildren. The most beautiful scene was when she braids his only daughter. They were crying. After they meet, she kissed them all goodbye but I never thought that was the last time we can see her. I was about to say goodbye to her when I was about to wake her when her hands was cold. I 

try to wake her up but she didn’t wake up. I called Chace to come here. When he arrived, her family was also here. When Chace try to revive Carla, she didn’t make it.

Chace said the saddest words.  ‘Time of Death, 10:37 AM’ we all burst into tears. 

- Flashback Ends –

When Carla died, I felt it was like my Mom all over again.

- After 3 years-

It’s been three years since we passed our Licensure Exam and now Chace and I are both working at Royal London Hospital. Yes, we settle in London with our $100,000 salary every month. Cane and Dad was also here. It was so much blessing that we received. Dad has his own Garage where he’s the head. Cane was now an Engineer Cane. After he graduated, he passed his Board Exam and has his own family. After her graduation he married Ariana Carrie Greyson-West and now has fraternal twins; Carmine Arinna West, he named her after our Mom’s first name and Hunter James West, they’re both two years old. He’s the youngest successful Engineer who earns million in his works. We all HAPPY AND CONTENTED, we have so much blessing that comes to us. It’s all too much but we’re happy.

‘This is life. Will Chace ever ask me to marry him?’ I chuckled at my own silliness.

Chapter IV: Bella's 27th Birthday, Proposal and Engagement Party

CHACE’s POV:

It has been three years since we received the letter that we passed out Licensure Examination. I was proud at Belle. In three years we received blessing that was more than we asked for but we still thanks God for all of this. Life is not a life if everything was according to what we like our life to be. Every relationship is not perfect but there’s a saying that there’s a rainbow after the rain. Belle and I went to a lot of problems in our way, we loss someone we love, we had our big fight and there’s a time when Kian and Andrea lost Hunter but we all been strong for each other and now I’m starting to have a doubt on Belle’s health. She seem to always tell me that she have killer headache. As a doctor that specializes in Brain, I find that headache was not normal. I asked Belle what she feel but she always answer me ‘this is just a simple headache, it’s nothing.’ I told her to have her General Check-up but she refuses to because she’s okay so I didn’t argue with her but I’m still monitoring her health. I’m afraid of something I wish I was wrong but I can’t correct myself if she’s too stubborn to have her check-up. 

Today was her 27the birthday and this was the day I want to ask her to marry me and of course same with our Engagement Party. I was preparing for this for a month and I asked for Kian and Andrea’s help and Andrea has this amazing ideas. It was a flash mob, she love to watch flash mob in television and she planned for this all month long, Kian prepare for the food and venue while I prepare my song, speech and myself for it. Everything was perfect, everything was ready. I’ll forget every negative thought in my mind and just prepare this special day for us. I was driving to Belle’s house to occupy her for a while. We all tricked her that this was my Mom and Dad’s Anniversary and his Dad went with it. We bought her the  that she will be using for the night. Yesterday, I asked her to go on a date with me and I will fetch her at 9 in the morning while they’re waiting for us but the truth is they’re preparing everything in our house. I park my car outside their house and went to knock on their door. Albert, her Dad and Cane and his family was on our house preparing. Aunt Maurine, they’re housekeeper.

‘Good morning, Aunt Maurine, How are you?’

‘I’m fine. You look handsome, last time you were still wearing your diaper so what brought you here?’ She said.

‘Thank you. You look beautiful today, Aunt Maurine, Where’s Belle?’ I asked her.

‘She’s still sleeping, why?’ I stare at her curiously.

‘We have out date today, she didn’t tell you?’ 

‘No, she didn’t tell me anything. Go wake her up..’ I just nod at her and went to Belle’s room and when I was there she was peacefully sleeping. Her room was a typical room. She has a king sized bed but she still end up in the end of the bed with her feet dangling on the floor and her hands was in her heart, her walls was painted in purple, her favorite color, she have her study table and her walk-in closet, her calendar was beside the door of the bathroom where the date today was mark. I decide to wake her up. 

‘Belly bells! Wake up!’ I said and tickle her nose. She just slap my hands away and went back to sleep, she looks so cute. I tickle her and she suddenly fell from her bed. I suppress my laughter’s and she sit up looking at me while rubbing her eyes.

‘What was that for?!’ She screams at me.

‘You won’t wake up so I just tickle you.’ I grin at her.

‘A normal person would just wake me up without tickling that person.’

‘I’m not normal.’ I said to her and mile at her.

‘Yes, I just know that now that I have an alien best friend. Ha ha.’ She pout at me and fix her bed hair.

‘What are you doing here anyway?’ She asked me.

‘We have a date today.’ I said.

‘Oh, I forgot. She roams her eyes around her room and stop at her calendar. She stares at it and look at me curiously.

‘What today’s date?’ She asked me. I stare at her wide eyes. The thumping of my heart came back. This can’t be.

‘Shorty, today’s your birthday.’ I told her and when realization came to her face and she looks at me in horror.

‘IT’S MY BIRTHDAY?!!’ She exclaimed. If there’s no fear in me, I would be laughing at her face.

‘Yes, shorty.’ I told her and just hide my true feeling behind a smile.

‘That’s why you’re taking me out?’ She asked me.

‘Yes, now go take a bath.’ I told her. She runs to her bathroom. She forgot her towel, she always seem to forget it every time she takes a bath. I wish I was wrong. I study her Mom’s record and I memorized every symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease and I wish I was wrong that Belle’s having those symptoms. I was brought to reality when she asked me to give her towel.

‘Chacey! TOWEL!!’ She yelled and I get her towel and give it to her. I prepare her outfit for today which consist of a ripped jeans short and a blue sheer blouse with collar and his converse. I walk downstairs and wait for her. I was in deep thought when she walks up to me. She looks beautiful. I smile at her and held her hands.

‘Let’s go.’ I tell her and we both walked outside and open my car door for her. We both slid in and I start the car and drive. I was driving to the mall because One Direction ‘This is Us’ is showing and we both love the band and I know she will love it. I park my car and went to her side to open the door for her and held her hands again. We went to the 3D Cinema and lined up to the ticket book.

‘What are we watching?’ She asked me and I point to the movie poster of This Is Us and her eyes lights up when she look at the poster. She scream in delight and pull me through the ticket booth and when we got our ticket, she pull me through the entrance and she screaming ‘1D’ repeatedly. We were watching it and she smile the entire movie. After the movie she was still talking non-stop about the movie and I decided to ask her to go to Kian and Andrea’s house to get ready for later. I left her with Andrea there and Kian and me went to our house and get dressed. It was 1 in the afternoon, there’s still 4 hours till the surprise.

- Four hours later –

Arabella’s POV

I was getting ready for Greg and Anna’s Anniversary. I was wearing a baby pink spaghetti strap dress that flow perfectly on the floor with a diamond at the chest, it was stunning, Andrea curls my hair on the side and apply a light make up on my face. When my make-up was done I look at the mirror and I look beautiful, I slip into my silver 3 heels sandals and I’m ready to go. Chace said that the event was in their house or should I say a mansion. We slip into Andrea’s car and drive to the Black’s House. We arrived when a group of dancers came out and dance in front of me. I was watching them gracefully and a girl led me inside the house and a flash mob was there still dancing when I saw Kian and Andrea dancing and singing ‘Marry You’ by Bruno Mars, I look at them curiously. It is supposed to be Anna in my place right now. They led me to the up to the stairs and we walk to the veranda outside and there is a stairs there and one of the dancer help me walk down and a new song played ‘Marry your Daughter’ by Brian McKnight.

The start of the song, I was walking down when Kian appear then Cane, Hunter, Greg and when the first line sing, Chace was at the bottom of the stairs looking at me, my Dad was beside him and he’s holding Chace’s shoulder, I start crying when he start to sing. He held my hands and look at my father.

When he was done he knelt to the ground and held out a beautiful ring, it was a simple silver ring.  He look at my Dad.

‘Mr. West, I want you to know that I love your daughter, you know that and I will take care of her for the rest of my life.’ I look at my Dad who just nod his head and walk to me and kiss my cheeks and whisper.

‘You look like your Mom. I’m so proud of you, pumpkin! Happy Birthday! I love you.’ He said while crying. He look at Chace.

‘Yes, I know you would. Thank you.’ He said and pat Chace’s back. I look back to Chace and smile.

‘Belly Bells. We’ve known each other since we were in our Mother’s womb. We are best friend since. I don’t know what to say. I just love you and all of people whose here right now are my witness. I gave you my promise ring when we graduate because I promise to court you and be my girlfriend when we’re in high school and when I was 13, I promised to marry you and I’m proud to say I fulfill it all. I went to your Mom’s tomb and ask her to marry you. I was hoping she says yes. So Everyone says yes already. So will you Arabella Cassandra West want to have a lifetime with me?’ He asked me. 

‘Yes. A million yes!’ I said and hug him. 

‘SHE SAID YES! BRING THAT DOWN!’ He said, I look at him curiously and look at the stage when they pull down the banner it read.

“Happy 27th Birthday Belle. 

West-Black Engagement Party.” I look at Chace and kissed him.

“BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!” I got everything I need. I wish this will last.

CHACE’S POV:

I look at Belle who is dancing with his father. Last week I got a blood test from Belle. She don’t want to go to the hospital so I said I just want to have a sample of her blood. I gave it to my Professor and we wish we were wrong. I really need to convince her to have her General Check-Up.
