• You can search and view public entity registration and exclusion data on beta.SAM.gov today
• In FY19 we will begin migrating SAM data entry features to beta.SAM.gov
• Once SAM.gov has migrated, beta.SAM.gov will become SAM.gov
• You can search and view Wage Determinations and Assistance Listings on beta.SAM.gov today
• Primary functionality is being tested on alpha.SAM.gov
• Minor enhancements based on alpha tester feedback ongoing
• Subscriptions will not be migrating
• You can search and view opportunities on beta.SAM.gov today
• Opportunities primary functionality to begin testing on alpha.sam.gov April/May

• You can search and view contract data on beta.SAM.gov today
• In FY19 we will be migrating FPDS to beta.SAM.gov
• A new reports module and Award API are being built
• Standard Reports Alpha testing starts this quarter for SME’s
• The legacy CPARS and FAPIIS sites should continue to be utilized until further notice
• Eventually, past performance information will be integrated into the new entity profile and data entry workspace on SAM.gov
• The legacy FSRS and eSRSshould continue to be used until further notice
• Eventually, required entity reporting will be migrated to SAM.gov and integrated into the new entity profile and data entry workspace on SAM.gov

Getting Ready for the Migration● To get a role, you will create a new account on beta.SAM.gov (You can do this now!)
● There are 3 ways to get a role○ You may migrate a role from a legacy system
■ You will need your legacy system username and password for each system you migrate
■ Make sure your legacy password for each system is up-to-date○ Some (typically non-administrative) roles may be requested
■ For a small number of cases users with sub-tier or office is not active in the modernized federal hierarchy, will need to request a new role
○ You may be assigned a role
● Role management and permissions for industry are still under development

Key System Interface Changes● Interfacing systems will need to re-register on beta.SAM.gov and connect to new
endpoints○ Access requirements will be standardized for all domains and services
● beta.SAM.gov utilizes REST APIs that can be accessed by users externally to conduct transactions throughout the application○ First round of Alpha testing is expected to start next quarter
● Data is being made available via both APIs, user generated extracts, and full data set extracts○ First round of Alpha testing starts this month
● Legacy interface services such as SOAP services will be phased out● Legacy interface services with submitting through FTP and email services will be
transitioned out at time of decommissioning

Where to go for help• The beta.SAM.gov Help Center will be your number one source for help and
information • The Help Center will provide a collection of short training videos, FAQs, and a
glossary• The content will be searchable so you will be able to type in “How do I submit a
contract opportunity” and the search will return a short video that you can watch demonstrating the submittal process as well as an FAQ with the text version of the process
