Best Tourist Destinations in Mathura
Travelling is a passion that already exists in mankind. People of
nowadays, in pressure of the daily routine based works and
professional lifestyle gets bored and wants a leave to revitalize
life. Travelling acts as the best medicine during this juncture of
life. However, many like to travel to seashores or hill stations,
while some prefer religious places and pilgrimages. Mathura in
North India is one of such places, which is simultaneously
known for the natural beauty as well as the religious

Government Museum is one of the most visited museums in
the town. The reasons for the popularity of the museum are the

sculptures and ruins of the Gupta and Kushan period are
preserved in this museum making it one of the rare gainer of
the archaeological artifacts. Krishna Janmabhoomi is one of the
most important tourist destinations in the city. There are two
major complexes to visit in this section, the prison cell where
Basudev and Devki were imprisoned by tyrant Kansha as a
result of the oracle of his death by his own nephew. This cell is
considered to be the most sacred place in the world by the
followers of Lord Shri Krishna. The second complex is the
temple with the idols of Lord Shri Krishna and Radha, so
beautifully carved and decorated, it will surely entice the
visitors. The VishramGhat is said to be the resting place of Lord
Shri Krishna after killing his uncle notorious tyrant Kansh. All
