ABOUT CAMP THUNDERMOON
GENERAL INFORMATION
Camp Thundermoon is held at Willard Elementary School in Berlin,
CT. Our camp program utilizes various areas of the facility includ-
ing indoor/outdoor spaces and the playground. No Y membership
required, open to all! However having a Meriden-New Britain-Berlin Y
membership will help save you money.
HOW DOES CAMP WORK?
We group our campers into three different units based on age. Each unit is assigned a director and at least one counselor who oversee the group. We strive to maintain a ratio of campers to counselors that meets or exceeds the State of CT regulations. Our camp is a drop-off and pick-up program in Berlin. New Britain families have the option of bus transportation for an additional fee.
ACTIVITIES
Campers will participate in a variety of fun and age appropriate
activities, all based around the weekly theme. Our focus for fun is
within three key areas of Spirit (Music & the Arts), Mind (Science/
Reading), and Body (Health/Wellness).
SWIMMING & MORE AT OUR Y FACILITY
Each Unit will visit the New Britain YMCA or Meriden YMCA facility to
swim twice a week (Monday through Thursday). Bus transportation is
provided and will leave camp by 9:30 AM on swim days. Swim time
includes group swim lessons and free swim time. Campers will also
enjoy organized gym games and will get to use the indoor rock wall. All
activities are supervised by Camp Staff, certified Rock Wall Staff, and
certified Lifeguards. Campers will return to camp by 12:30 PM to have
lunch and enjoy the rest of the afternoon activities.
FIELD TRIPS & MORE!
Field trips are a great addition to our camp program. Typically field
trips are on a Friday of a field trip week. There is a minimal cost per
camper to attend most field trips. A detailed permission slip will be
sent home with campers at the beginning of that session. During non-
field trip weeks, we’ll have a camp show for friends and family to enjoy
and/or an all camp activity that goes with the weekly theme. *New -
pay the field trip fee at time of camp registration.

By signing this form, I agree to pay the amount due the MONDAY BEFORE each new session of camp. It will be my responsibility to notify the New Britain-Berlin YMCA in the event that I cancel my credit/debit card. I will also notify the Y when I receive a new expiration date on my card. If for some reason a transaction will not post (i.e. account closed, ac-count suspended, insufficient funds), I understand that I will be charged a $20.00 fee. I understand that if my payment isn’t received prior to the start of the next session, then my child won’t be able to attend YMCA Camp Thundermoon that session. Full Payment
