Our camp is divided into small groups that become the best of friends and develop a sense of belonging and family. Devotions, structured times set aside for positive reinforcement and character traits are a few ways we make these things happen. Each day from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm is another opportunity for friendship, belonging, and achievement. DAY CAMP AT THE YMCA Rising 1st through 5th Grade Summer Camp at the YMCA is a nurturing place for your child to grow, learn and belong. Themed weeks encourage a focus on education and exploration. Your child will develop social skills, enhance their creativity through the arts, stay active, and engage their imaginations through our summer reading. Members— $120/week Participants— $145/week

MIDDLE SCHOOL ADVENTURE CAMP Rising 6th through 8th Grade Our Middle School Campers will engage in Day Camp activities and take advantage of some special activities, including archery, climbing tower, and leadership exercises! Members— $130/week Participants—$160/week

KINDER CAMP 3 years—Rising K We intentionally gear this camp to our little ones. It is a special chance for them to interact with just each other, socialize, develop processing skills, be active, and learn. Smaller group sizes and more counselors create the atmosphere that will benefit your early learner. Our Half Day Program is from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and Full Day from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.

CILT (CAMPERS IN LEADERSHIP TRAINING) Rising 9th &10th Grade LEADING FOR THE FUTURE. Campers in Leadership Training is perfect for our oldest campers to learn how to be a strong leader. CILTs will focus on leadership training and also shadow camp staff while they learn what it takes to work with younger campers! Members - $85 per week Participants - $100 per week

LICENSED CAMP AND VOUCHERS The Central YMCA Day Camp is licensed by the State of North Carolina and accepts vouchers from the Department of Social Services. It is encouraged that you apply for DSS Vouchers before applying for YMCA financial assistance funds.

At the time of registration campers will sign up for only the weeks they plan to attend. A $10 per week per child deposit will be due at that time. This deposit is non-refundable. Payment options are available on the registration form.

SPECIALITY CAMPS CAMPS ARE LOCATED AT PHARR FAMILY YMCA 208 MAIN STREET MCADENVILLE, NC 28101
Pharr Half Day Camp takes place from 9:00 am—12:00 pm. Drop off and pick up takes place at the Pharr Y. Transportation to other YMCA Camps is not available.
GYMNASTICS AND CHEER HALF DAY CAMP Ages 3—11 Time: 9:00 am—12:00 pm Gymnastics and Cheer camp is a terrific way for kids to get connected with friends and stay fit and flexible throughout the summer. Register for one week or all six weeks. Members- $85 per week Participants - $100 per week Cheer Camp— Weeks 2 and 8 Gymnastics Camp— Weeks 1, 4, 6, and 9
MULTI SPORT HALF DAY CAMPS Ages 3—8 Time: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm Is your child interested in all sorts of sports? This camp is a combination of soccer, basketball, flag football, and tee ball! Each day will be different! Members—$85 per week Participants—$100 per week Multi Sport Camp - Week 3
BASKETBALL HALF DAY CAMPS Ages 5—11 Time: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm Spend the morning focusing on your shot! This camp is perfect for 5—11 year olds and will stress skill development, teamwork, and confidence. They will get the opportunity to scrimmage daily! Members—$85 per week Participants—$100 per week Basketball Camp—Week 7
BELMONT ABBEY COLLEGE SOCCER CAMP Ages 6—16 Time: 9:00 am—12:00 pm Coaches and players from Belmont Abbey College will work with young athletes on techniques and skills all players need to meet their true potential. Members—$85 Participants—$100 BAC Soccer Camp—Week 5
FULL DAY OPTION Ages 6—16 Time: 8:00 am—6:00 pm Extend any of our Pharr Family YMCA Specialty Camps until 6:00 pm with this option. The beginning of the day your child will participate it their special camp and the afternoon they will participate in fun camp activities. Members—$150 Participants—$175 Weeks offered—Week 1– 9 Full Day Option price includes Specialty Camp fee.

SWIM CLUB Ages 6—18 Day and Time: Cherryville Y Monday/Wednesday/Friday 11:00—12:00 pm Stowe Y Monday/Wednesday/Friday 4:00—5:00 pm Central Y Tuesday/Thursday/Friday 4:00—5:00 pm Locations: Cherryville YMCA, Central YMCA and Stowe Family YMCA Swim Club is designed for those who are ready to take their skills to the next level. Swimmers will focus on all four strokes with technique and skill workouts. Members—$65 Participants— $85 Summer Session 1— June 15—July 17 Summer Session 2—July 20—August 21
RED CROSS SWIM LESSONS Swim Lessons are offered throughout the summer to both our Summer Day Campers as well as children not participating in our camp programs.
SUMMER CAMP LESSONS Ages All Camp Ages Locations: Central YMCA, South Gaston YMCA, Stowe Family YMCA Twice weekly campers will be taken from their group to focus on their swimming skills. Members—$25 Participants—$35 Weeks 2—9
COMMUNITY SWIM LESSONS Ages 6 months to 14 years Two sessions are available for children to learn to swim! Classes are Tuesday/Thursday evening or Saturday morning. Locations: Central YMCA, South Gaston YMCA, Stowe Family YMCA Members— $40 Participants— $80 Session 1—June/July Session 2—August/September

TEE BALL AND COACH PITCH BASEBALL LEAGUE Ages 3—6 Day/Time: Tuesday and Thursday evenings This coed recreational league allows our younger athletes to learn the fundamental skills of the sport. Tee Ball will be played by our 3—4 year olds while our 5—6 year olds are given the experience of hitting a pitched ball. Members- $52 Participants - $77 Session Information: Registration — April 1—May 4 Practice Begins—May 19 Games Schedule —June 2— June 25
FLAG FOOTBALL LEAGUE Ages 7—Middle School Day/Time: Monday evenings, Saturday This coed recreational league keeps our athletes moving during the summer months. Smalls teams led by volunteer coaches will work on fundamental skills, plays, and athletic conditioning all while having fun. Members- $52 Participants - $77 Session Information: Registration Ends—April 1—May 4 Practice Begins—May 18 Games Schedule —June 1—27
GYMNASTICS CLASSES Ages 3—teen Time: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm The Pharr Family YMCA gymnastics classes are designed to enhance fine and gross motor skills and cultivate imagination, creativity and social development in a caring environment. Students will grow and develop as they learn the fundamental vocabulary and skills associated with gymnastics.
