How To Plan The First Date 101

Girls meets boy and boy meets girl. There’s a spark. There’s that infamous chemistry. There’s awkward pauses and rosy cheeks. Then there’s an exchange of numbers, sleepless nights and the constant checking of phones for new text messages.

And then what? Then there’s the question you’ve been waiting for: Would you like to go on a date?

YES, YES, YES, you fool! YES! How long did you have to wait to ask that? But no matter,

the time has now come. It’s official. The first date is really happening.

But alas, it’s not going to be picture-perfect like in the movies, there’s not going to be an accidental falling into arms, a lock of the eyes, and perhaps the hands or even the lips.

Okay, now enough of romancing! Let’s get down to business. You can of course imagine the amount of pressure that goes hand in hand with a first date. So my first word of advice is this: don’t try to do something too dramatic, save that for wooing purposes later, once you’ve locked down the first date! Keep it classic: go for a movie and dinner. As cliché as that sounds, it’s cliché for a reason –because it works.

So, here’s what you do. Go for a movie at the cinemas in saket. Pick something that you’re both going to enjoy, buy a large tub of popcorn, and maybe just one large cup of coke, get that whole milkshake with two straws move rolling!

Now, in a place like Saket, you’re bound to find the best restaurant in delhi. So it’s really all quite easy for you! Don’t plan exactly where you’re going to eat, though. This is what you’ve got to do.

Go to the cinemas in saket, catch a movie, and then stroll about Saket and window shop through all the restaurants. So you’ll get some nice time walking about with your date, (hand in hand, maybe?). And then really, no matter where you go, if you’ve both got that twinkle in your eyes, then any restaurant will become the absolute best restaurant in delhi!
