CHRIS GLOVER, Senior Director of theMilliken Performance System, has beeninstrumental in growing the PerformanceSolutions by Milliken team since 2008,when he joined as one of the lead practi-tioners. PHIL McINTYRE, Senior Director of Business Development. Phil’s lengthy career in business and manufacturing leadership makes him the right person to speak about the impact Zero Loss Thinking can make to an organization. Phil has successfully led several business units within Milliken & Company to both profitable growth and long term financial sustainability. Prior to his corporate level business leadership roles, Phil led the implementation of the Milliken Performance System in the Performance Products Division and served as director of cost improvement, where he was responsible for strategic cost reduction efforts. He also worked as the Pursuit of Excellence Director and was responsible for integrating aligning critical customer needs (and wants) with both manufacturing and business capabilities. Early in his career, Phil worked in four different manufacturing locations for Milliken & Company, holding five different positions ranging from Quality to Cost. Phil credits this early diversity in job responsibility and scope as the beginning of his in-depth knowledge of Continuous Improvement; his appreciation for empowered safety systems; and his understanding of the why establishing the correct financial metrics to drives the right behavior. Phil holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Clemson University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Wake Forest University.

CRAIG LONG offers a seasoned perspec-tive to the leadership foundation for Performance Solutions by Milliken. He began his career over 40 years ago with Milliken & Company at a manufacturing

facility as an Industrial Engineer. Craig’s real world experience includes Product Development, Account Management, Business Management, Senior Corporate Education, Corporate Recruiting, and Activity Based Costing. In 1997, Craig was promoted to Vice President of Quality and Milliken University, and then he spear- headed the company’s implementation of Six Sigma in 2004. He has held leadership responsibility for Corporate Continuous Improvement processes, leading two corporate study mission trips to Japan. In 2006, Craig was selected to create and lead the newly formed Performance Solutions by Milliken business. This new group was created in response to the increasing requests from customers for Milliken to help them with their own processes, as well as their operational and safety excellence journeys. Performance Solutions by Milliken now works with clients operating in over 350 operations and in 23 countries. Craig was a key member of the U.S. Quality Council of the Conference Board for 14 years and also served as co- chair. He is a graduate of the Harvard Advanced Management Program.

WAYNE PUNCH offers key insights into the link between safety excecllence and operations. He is the Corporate Director Emeritus of Safety and Health for Milliken & Company. Wayne began his career with Milliken in 1973 as a Research Chemist. Since then, he held a variety of leadership roles including Plant Manager, Director of Manufacturing, Location Manager, and Manufacturing Manager. Wayne is a valued member of OSHA’s Volunteer Protection Program Participants Association, the S.C. Counter-

Terrorism Task Group and the South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance. Wayne has served on many boards concerning safety, including the National Safety Council, the S.C. Occupational Safety Council and the Homeland Security Taskforce.

JEFF ROSENLUND is a Senior Practi- tioner with Performance Solutions by Milliken and works with one of the team’s largest clients. His assignments during his 30+ years with Milliken & Company include leadership roles in areas such as change management, supply chain systems, manufacturing management, business and product line development, and project management. Jeff also worked in the Chemical Division for Milliken for several manufacturing sites..

CHIP WINTER is General Manager, Textile Manufacturing for Milliken & Company with oversight of 24 textile manufacturing plants. Chip’s experience at Milliken spans over 30 years, and he has been a Plant Manager, Manufacturing Manager, and a Director of Manufacturing for both North American Automotives and Finished Products.
