Day 1: Arsenal’sEmirates StadiumWe rendezvous in London with ourfellow passengers. Following a shortteam meeting to deal with theintroductions and a few essentialformalities, we kick off the tour witha visit to the state of the artEmirates Stadium, home of ArsenalFC. The stadium tour includesaccess to the first team dressingroom, player’s tunnel, director’s boxand press conference facilities aswell as the spectacular interactiveArsenal museum which exhibitsmemorabilia from Arsenals famoushistory. We then travel toNottingham to view the statue ofBrian Clough, the controversialformer Nottingham Forest Managerwho led the club to unprecedentedEuropean Cup success in the 1970’sand became known as ‘The BestManager that England never had’ as well as the subject of the film‘The Damned United’. We stayovernight in Nottingham.

Day 2: Liverpool’sAnfield StadiumWe leave Nottingham afterbreakfast to travel to Anfield, thehome of Liverpool FC, where we willfollow in the footsteps of legendslike Shankly, Paisley and Dalglishand visit the dressing room used bymodern day icons Gerrard andTorres then walk down the tunneltouching the world famous ‘This isAnfield’ sign as well as visiting theLFC museum packed withmemorabilia of Liverpool’s glorioushistory. We then travel toManchester for a two night stay.

Day 3: ManchesterUnited’s OldTrafford StadiumToday we will visit Old Trafford,Manchester United’s ‘Theatre ofDreams’, the largest club stadium inthe UK, made famous by the likes ofBusby, Charlton, Law, Best, Cantonaand more recently Beckham, Giggs,Ronaldo and Rooney. We will visitthe player’s dressing room and SirAlex Ferguson’s pitchside dug outspot before touring the museumand sacred trophy room to view thememorabilia of the clubs 130 yearsglobal success then visit the clubshop. In the afternoon we plan tovisit the new National FootballMuseum at the Urbis ExhibitionCentre once it opens in autumn2011 – for tours prior to the openingwe plan to spend the afternoon atthe Trafford Shopping Centre.

Day 4: New WembleyStadium – ‘TheHome of EnglishFootball’On our final day we take the roadsouth to Wembley, ‘The Home ofEnglish Football’, for the ultimatestadium tour where we will visit theEngland changing room, the playerstunnel, climb the sacred trophywinners’ steps, raise the replica FACup and relive Wembley’s greatestmoments on video. We then returnyou to the meeting point around6pm and say our goodbyes…

Day 1:

Manchester – Fort WilliamWe rendezvous with our fellowchallengers at our meeting pointin Manchester. Followingintroductions and a few essentialformalities, we set out on thejourney north into Scotland to ourhotel at Fort William at the base ofBen Nevis for our first overnightstay where we will prepareourselves for the challengesahead!

Day 2:

Climb Ben NevisToday we will hike to the summitof Ben Nevis, the highest of thethree peaks at 1344 metres(4409ft) by the main path fromGlen Nevis. The walk usuallytakes around five hours and youwill have time for a few shortbreaks to take in the breathtakingscenery before returning to themini-coach to travel south backinto England for our secondovernight stay.

Day 3:

Climb Scafell PikeOur second peak is Scafell Pike(978 metres – 3209ft) where wewill take the path to the summitfrom Wasdale Head throughLingmell Gill passing BrownTongue. This walk also takesaround five hours and, on a clearday, the scene of your nextchallenge (Snowdonia) will bevisible as well as panoramic viewsof the Lake District. We then travelinto Wales for our final overnightrest stay to prepare for the finalascent!

Day 4:

Climb SnowdonOn our final day we will completethe Best of Britain Three PeaksChallenge by trekking up MountSnowdon (1085 metres – 3560ft).We will take the Pyg Track to thesummit from the Pen-y-Pass carpark. During the summer monthsthe Snowdon Visitors Centre,Hafod Eryri, will be open at thepeak for a quick refreshmentbefore descending. We then returnyou to Manchester for around6pm and say our goodbyes.

Health and FitnessWe will not be ‘running’ or ‘climbing’ but to enjoythe Best of Britain Three Peaks Challenge, you doneed to be reasonably fit. You should prepareproperly by practising hiking on similar terrain priorto joining the tour.

Get Connected...

What’s included in the price?The tour price includes all transportation, ferry crossings and bed &breakfast accommodation within the tour and the services of a BOBH Tour Leader.

What’s not included in the price?Spending money, visas, personal travel insurance, medical fees, cost ofoptional activities, entrance fees unless specified, flights, airport transfers.

What about entry fees and optional activities?We try to keep any extra fees to a minimum but there may be some entryfees depending on what you want to see, these are usually only £3-£9. Youdon't have to participate in the optional extras to enjoy our tours - it'sentirely up to you how you spend your time!

What about food?There are plenty of opportunities for you to sample local foods in pubs,restaurants and cafes. Breakfast is included but we suggest £15 a day forlunch and dinner.

How much should I budget for a day?We recommend £15 for food and around £25 for entry fees, activities anddrinks. Free cash machines are available throughout the UK and mostmajor credit cards are accepted.

What type of accommodation do you use?We use Hotels and good quality Hostels for all our tours with Full Englishor Continental Breakfast included in the tour price.

What time do tours start and finish?You need to be at the meeting point (this is given to you prior to travelling)at 8am and the tour will leave at 8:30am. On out return we aim to be backat the meeting point for 6pm depending on traffic but you should not relyon this for booking onward travel.

Are there any age restrictions?Our tours are specifically planned to suit active and adventurous people inthe 18-35 age group, so the tours and activities within them are unlikely tosuit people outside that category. Passengers must be at least 18 years ofage on the date of commencement of the tour.

How much time do we spend off the Mini-Coach?We spend as much time as possible off the Mini-Coach, our style is to getyou out and about to discover things and sample the very “Best of Britain”!

Will there be people travelling on their own?Although we do get groups of friends and couples on our tours, all of ourtours have a number of passengers travelling alone but by the end of yourtour you will be like a new family!

What are the luggage restrictions?Passengers are allowed up to 20Kg of luggage in the form of one mediumsized suitcase or bag together with a small bag for daily essentials.

Is tipping required?Tipping is not compulsory. If you had a great time and want to rewardyour UK Tour Leader/Driver then feel free to tip as little or as much as youfeel is appropriate.

How many people will be on the tour?Our tours are conducted in small groups; this allows for a better qualityof touring and means everyone knows everyone. The maximum groupsize is 16.

What sort of people will be on the trip?Our passengers are from all over the world and they are keen travellers.They are 18-35 and want to make the most of their time while they are inthe UK.

Do I need travel insurance?Best of Britain Holidays does not provide travel insurance and we verystrongly recommend that you purchase comprehensive Travel Insuranceto cover all your travels to include cancellation, medical expenses,personal accident, personal baggage, money and public liability before you travel.

Am I allowed to smoke?You are not allowed to smoke on our coaches, however, you will haveopportunity to smoke during stops (obviously not at petrol stations!) andduring free time. In the UK, smoking is not permitted inside hotels or anyother public buildings.

Will I be able to contact my friends and familywhile on tour?Absolutely! Our Mini-Coaches have Free WIFI so you can use yourBlackberry’s, iPhone’s, iPad’s and Laptops while travelling around. We alsotry and use Hotels/Hostels with Internet Connection.

What do you mean by flexibility?Our routes have been strategically planned to include the best highlightswithin the UK. However, with the guidance of your Tour Leader and theCrew at Best of Britain Holidays, we can meet passenger requests to divertto other highlights en-route so two tours will never be exactly the sameand we can deliver a truly unique experience!

What kind of Mini-Coaches do you use?We travel in comfort in custom built, 17 seat Mini-Coaches with extrawide seats and legroom, Air conditioning, separate luggagecompartments, DVD players, Ipod/Mp3 connection points and FREE WIFI!
