Message from ASGE President
The Gastroenterology Foundation of Sub-Saharan Africa welcomes you to the inaugural “Best of the ASGE Postgraduate Course”, presented in South Africa at the SAGES 2018 meeting congress and in select centers in Sub–Saharan Africa thereafter.
In the last few years the Foundation’s attention has focused on GI endoscopy and the ASGE, with its prestige and emphasis on luminal endoscopic, is our first choice. I owe a depth of gratitude to Professor Dua who played a pivotal role in the ongoing negotiations with the ASGE and I look forward to building on our association with the ASGE in the years to come.
It is a great pleasure to welcome Professor Dua and Professor Iyer to South Africa and we are grateful for their commitment and efforts in making the first “Best of the ASGE Postgraduate Course” a success.
The Gastro Foundation continues its commitment to the education of all fellows, gastroenterologists and hepatologists throughout South and sub-Saharan Africa.
I sincerely hope you find the program both enjoyable and enriching.
Chris KassianidesChairmanGastroenterology Foundation of Sub Saharan Africa
