As Mayor of this beautiful city, I am both honored and privileged to offer you a warm welcome to the Norris Community Center. The arts have long been engrained into our community and we take pride in the many organizations that have taken up residence here.

The Norris Community Center, together with Cambier Park, is known for culture, arts and theater. It is also home to the Gulfshore Playhouse, which is a proud winner of the Star Choice Award for Live Theater, and was also named “Best of Gulfshore”.

We are excited to announce the upcoming 2017-2018 season. There will be a variety of acts and entertainment for all ages, including Bluegrass, Tribute Bands, Comedy, Music and More!

The Woodwork gives a unified vibe; musically, the same. Their rapport with one another shows. You could see these guys, even if they weren’t in a band together, hanging out in some beatnik bar, drinking vintage vino or enjoying a craft brew. Their shows cater to folks with eclectic tastes, hipsters open to something they haven’t really seen before. The crowds at their gigs are laid back, appreciating something different.

The Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem were an iconic and influential Irish folk group, which initially developed as a part of the American folk music revival of the 1960’s. They are widely credited with popularizing Irish traditional music in the United States and revitalizing it in Ireland. This tribute will include their most popular songs of love, rebellion, humor, and the Old Sod. The performers are: Jimmy McEvoy (vocals, guitar, bodhron), Ian Barksdale (vocals, fiddle, guitar, banjo, Irish whistle), David McGrath (vocals, guitar, harmonica), and Brian Brown (vocals, guitar).
