Beside the Seaside Edition

Last week, the whole of

the Manor Green family

enjoyed a day at the

beach! As always, our

children were amazing

ambassadors for all that

we stand for at Manor

Green. We’d like to

extend our gratitude to

all members of staff,

including our wonderful

office team, for

supporting this whole

academy event. We

are so lucky to have the

support of a group of

fabulous volunteers –

thank you, we couldn’t

do it without you!

Prize-Giving and Leavers’ Assemblies

We will be holding our end of the academic year prize-giving assemblies again on the following dates:

16th July 2019 – EYFS & KS1 Prize Giving at 9.10am

17th July 2019 – KS2 Prize Giving at 9.10am

26th July 2019 – Leavers’ Assembly and Performance at 9.10am

Invitations for Prize Giving will be sent home at least two weeks before the

date in order to allow you time to make any necessary arrangements so

that you can attend.

The Year 6 Leavers’ Assembly will be their sole performance this academic

year as the children are at Robinwood for a large proportion of the last

week of term.

This assembly will be for parents and family only.

Official Opening of our New Early Years Classrooms

We were delighted to welcome Andrew Gwynne MP and Cllr Claire Reid to officially open our newly

refurbished Reception classrooms. Both visitors were a big hit with our children and had great fun in the new

classrooms and outside too!

Transition Arrangements

In response to your feedback,

and that of the children, we

will be extending the transition

opportunities offered to our

children for moving to their

next class in September 2019.

The children will learn with

their new teachers on the

following dates: 27th June, 4th

July, 11th July, 18th July and

25th July 2019.

Move Over Manchester Bees!

Move over Manchester bees - a giant

frog trail is coming to Stockport. The

Giant Leap Frog Art Trail is coming to

Stockport where families have all

summer to join in the fun. Click here

This looks like a great family activity for

the upcoming summer break!

All Aboard, Year One!

Year One had a special surprise last week when our very own Mrs.

Harrop made a surprise return to Manor Green and brought a double

decker bus with her too! Year One had a lovely trip on the bus with a

running commentary, and of course a sing song, from Mrs. Harrop.

Children were then given a guided tour of the depot. As always, our

children were excellent role models of the Manor Green values! Huge

thanks to Stagecoach and of course Mrs. Harrop for a fantastic

afternoon of fun and learning for our children!

Classes 2019/20

We are excited to welcome Mrs. Cawley, an experienced teacher, to join the Manor Green family as class

teacher for Year 4 Green (current 3 Green). Mrs. Cawley is excited to meet her new class!
