Lois was bom on April
15, 1931, in Marshalltown.
the daughter of Re! and
Violet (Le Fevre) Morgan.
.She graduated from Toledo
High School in 1949. She
was united in marriage to
Charles L. Patterson on
October S, 1950 at the
United Brethren Church in
Toledo. Lois was a mem
ber of the First Presbyterian
Church in Toledo, where
she was involved in various
groups. She was also a
member of PEO, Order of
Eastern Star, and the
American Legion Auxiliary.
Lois was a former scout
leader, and was formerly on
the Board of Directors for
Meals on Wheels. She
enjoyed music, and was
involved in numerous musi
cal organizations in the area.
As the kids were growing
up, Lois enjoyed camping
with the family.
She was preceded in
death by her parents; one
granddaughter, Stephanie
Patterson in infancy; and
one brother in infancy.
Survivors include her
husband, Charles of Toledo;
two sons, Michael Patterson
of Indianola, and Mark
(Sue) Patterson of Tama;
four grandchildren;
Shannon (Mike) Giese,
Brandon Patterson, Ben
(Chelle) Patterson, and
Katie Patterson; one great-
granddaughter, Lily Giese;
and one cousin, Naomi
Zelany. of Pueblo, CO.
In lieu of flowers, a
memorial fund has been
established.

STEWART, 93
Services for Beulah
Francis Stewart, who passed
away on May 2, 2009, at
11:30 a.m. were held on
Friday, May 8, 2009, at 2
p.m. ai Rosehil! Memorial
Gardens.
At 93 Beulah Stewart
had lived a great life, lived
independently and was very
sharp in mind. On Tuesdays
she never missed her hair
appointment or a Wal-Mart
trip. In 1916 Beulah was
bom in Ferguson, IA, and
for the last 20 years she
lived in Springfield, MO.
She was preceded in
death by her husband, Jess
and a son. Clayton.
Beulah is survived by a
daughter, Linda Stewart-
Kersey of Springfield, MO.;
son, Jim Stewart and wife
Kay of State Center, IA.,
and son, Mike Stewart and
wife, Doris of Ferguson, LA.
She is also survived by a
sister, Cheryl Barlow in
Texas and brother,
Lawrence in California.
She had many grandchil
dren and numerous great
grandchildren.
Beulah always remem
bered loved ones birthdays
and special occasions and
she enjoyed family gather
ings. Her hobbies included
shopping, planting flowers,
reading and writing. Her
favorite pastime was watch
ing Jeff Gordon race in
NASCAR. Her family was
blessed with her presence.
She is now at peace with
God and will always be in
our hearts. We deeply miss
her and we never forget how
she cared for all of us.

2009, at the Iowa Veterans
Home. Funeral services
will were held Wednesday.

Veteran's Home cemetery.

Casey, Iowa and spent his
childhood and most of his
adult life in Omaha, Neb.,
where he graduated from
Benson High School. He
was a Korean War Veteran
serving in the US Army. He
was employed for more than
25 years at the Omaha
Public Power District.
He is survived by his
adult children and their fam
ilies, Mark Donahue, of
Omaha, Neb. Susan (James)
Hegarty of St. Paul, Minn,
Brian (Shelley) Donahue of
Kansas City, Mo., Mary
(Todd) Schmitz of Omaha,
Neb., and Shawn (Mary

Born Patricia Ann
Hartman on March 16th,
1944, in Creston, Iowa, she
was the daughter of George
and Viola (Miller) Hartman.
She graduated from the East
Union High School in 1962.
On March 4th, 1962, she
was uniied in marriage to
Earnest Allen "Al" Stephens
at Dodge Center Church in
Union County, Iowa. They
made their home in
LeGrand the past 38 years.
Pat was employed at the
East Marshall Schools as a
cook for 22 years. She
enjoyed spending time with
her family and grandkids,
garage sales, and walking.
Left to cherish her mem
ory is Al, her loving hus
band of 47 years; four chil

Engel who died in 1986.
Maurine was a percussionist
and vocalist, and a lifetime
member of the American
Legion Auxiliary, and First
United Methodist Church of
Melbourne, FL.
Maurine is survived by
her sons, James, Sr. and
Robert (Elizabeth) Engel;
daughters, Mary Lee
(Roger) Goos, and Suzanne
(Lock) Young; niece,
Melissa (Gordon) Kceler;
13 grandchildren; 22 great
grandchildren and five
great-great-grandchildren.

Prostitution Charge
The Marshalltown
Police Department
was dispatched to the
Tallconi Towers for a
report of vandalism. A
handwritten advertise
ment in one of the ele
vators gave the num
ber of an individual
who was willing to
sell sex for money.
Officers of the
Marshal Itown Pol ice
Department along with
undercover agents from
the Mid-Iowa Drug Task
Force conducted a prosti
tution sting operation.
The individual selling
sex for money was iden
tified as:
Samantha Jo Daniel
DOB 08-12-90
Samantha was arrested
and taken into custody
for prostitution and
taken to the Marshall
County Jail.
