National Road Safety Forum - Way Forward…..

• Replaced the National Advisory Council on Road Safety attended by

Ministers.

• Has alternated between Commonwealth and state/territory hosts

since 2012.

• September 2015 Ministers meeting agreed to seek advice from

Agency Heads about hosting another Forum.

• Need to explore how the Forum’s considerations should be advanced

and by who, in order to improve its effectiveness.

• Need to assess the forums impact nationally.
