==================================================================================
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
It is my special pleasure to invite you to our international symposium “Bringing Cardiovscular
Medicine Center Stage: New Trends Today and Tomorrow”, which will be held in Berlin,
Germany October 27th-29th, 2016.
Key Cardiologists and scientists from all over the world will discuss innovative aspects of
cardiovascular medicine, just allowing a glimpse into the future.
We will also address topics of paramount interest to patients, physicians and societies, such as
the growing interest in precision medicine and its potential contradiction to current concepts of
international guidelines.
My special thanks goes to Charité university medicine, the German Heart Institute Berlin, the
scientific organizing committee, the local organizing committee of our meeting and to
Fondazione Internazionale Menarini for their unconditioned support.
Let us welcome you in Berlin, let us discuss new concepts in cardiovascular medicine, new ideas
and new therapeutic modalities, in order to find even better and more efficient ways to prevent
and cure cardiovascular disease in our patients.
In our view, Berlin is an ideal place to get together and discuss. Berlin in October is worth a visit
and the congress will take place at the BCC Berlin congress center in Berlin Mitte, directly at
famous Alexanderplatz. We do hope that Berlin with its lively and open spirit will also open our
minds for emerging new avenues in cardiovascular medicine.
With warmest regards
Prof. Burkert Pieske
President of the Meeting
