Why Now?

• “What related products/services can I add to my business to improve sales and revenue?”

• “How can I increase my offering to my customers and add value to what I do now?”

• “I had this tender from the local council but the DAS system included operator and Wi Fi frequencies, we do not have the expertise”

• “Where can I get the knowledge to train my staff”• “How is LTE going to affect my business”

• Market research/feedback working for manufacture and distributor 80 + companies asking typical questions ……

What do we know and want to achieve?

• Small systems already installed by most Dealers in shopping malls, hospitals, stadiums, ports etc.

• Years of experience below 500Mhz

• May be put off by RFQ’s tenders above 500Mhz

• Operator and Wi Fi out of scope for some traditional radio companies

• LTE will move our business up to operator frequencies

• If installing DAS for Radio then chances are above 500Mhz will not be covered in same area!

• Facilitate Increased revenue by adding DAS, Radio and CellularBy providing coverage for inbuilding for LTE/Cellular, Public Safety, Wi-Fi networks, UHF and some VHF

GO X Installation

Tips and Techniques: • Install antenna at least 30 cm from any other antennas for best

performance.• Antenna should be free of obstructions• Antenna should be away from windows (including sunroof or other

openings).• Install antennas 20cm away from any people.

Tips and Techniques:• For best results, install Donor and Server Antennas such that there

is substantial material between the antennas. This will create RF isolation and allow the system to perform at higher gain without oscillation or feedback.

• Do not use cable splitters for Donor Antennas. Follow the installation instructions for your chosen antennas.

THE DAS WORLD

ENERGY EFFICIENT BUILDINGS MAKE IT HARD FOR RF TO PENETRATE INDOORS.

DAS DISTRIBUTES RF OVER COAX AND SOMETIMES FIBER AS WELL.

DONOR SIGNALS MAY COME FROM OUTDOOR ANTENNAS, OR FROM A LOCAL “CELL” WHICH ADDS NETWORK CAPACITY.

IT TAKES A LOT OF SKILL, MONEY, AND TIME TO INSTALL A DAS.

EXPENSIVE PLANNNG SW IS AVAILABLE, BUT IT’S HARD TO USE.

HAVING INDOOR CELLULAR SERVICE IS A VALUE ADD FOR BUSINESSES, SCHOOLS, APARTMENT BUILDINGS, HOSPITALS ETC.

Cel-Fi QUATRA Network Unit (NU)

Cel-Fi QUATRA Network Unit (NU) is the hub of the system. The scalable design works with one to four Coverage Units to provide up to 50,000 sq. ft. of coverage. Provides donor signal to the Cel-Fi QUATRA system• Provides power to Coverage Units (up to four)• Connects to the Cel-Fi WAVE Platform for remote monitoring and

management• Designed for Single Carrier MIMO • Multiple QUATRA 1000 units can be deployed for Single, Dual, and Multi-

Carrier Solutions.

Cel-Fi QUATRA Coverage Unit (CU)

Cel-Fi QUATRA Coverage Unit (CU) is the remote unit of the system that rebroadcasts the donor signal. The cost efficient and easy-to-deploy system leverages Power-Over-Ethernet (POE) for up to four CUs. • Provides coverage in the Cel-Fi QUATRA system (up to four per Network

Unit)• Power delivered by Power-Over-Ethernet from the Network Unit• Self-configuring and self-optimizing

Cel-Fi QUATRA Range Extender (QRE)

Cel-Fi QUATRA Range Extender is a Power over Ethernet (PoE) device that extends the maximum distance between the NU and the CU.• Allows NU-to-CU cable lengths of up to 200 meters (650 ft.)• Power over Ethernet (no separate power supply or PoE injector needed)

Cel-Fi QUATRA Small Cell Interface

A small cell may be used as the donor source for the Cel-Fi QUATRA 1000. The Cel-Fi QUATRA Small Cell Interface (SCIF) simplifies RF connections between a small cell and NUs. It includes a main unit and all cables for a single NU. Compatible with QUATRA 1000 Supercell solutions only.• Simplifies connections to a small cell• Provides proper signal attenuation and isolation• Designed for QUATRA 1000 small cell installation

Cel-Fi MIMO Panel Antenna

Cel-Fi AntennaBoost integrates the Cel-Fi MIMO Panel Antenna with the Cel-Fi WAVE Platform to provide the best donor signal in the industry. The antenna connects to the QUATRA 1000 MIMO-enabled NU or CU with QMA (quick connect) cables. Nextivity’s proprietary 8-position dial base enables the antenna to be rotated in 45-degree increments for best performance, managed with real-time data from the Cel-Fi WAVE Platform Antenna Position Test. The Cel-Fi MIMO Panel Antenna is the only authorized indoor/outdoor antenna for Cel-Fi QUATRA 1000 Off-Air solutions only. • High gain directional MIMO panel antenna• Donor managed with AntennaBoost’s 8-position aiming mount• Includes options for ceiling, wall, and pole mounting• Designed for QUATRA 1000 off-air installation

CEL-FI IS ALLOWED HIGHER PERFORMANCEHow do we keep our HW from raising the noise floor at the base-station? It’s because weoperate much like a phone as a managed network resource. We decode the sameoverhead information a phone does for purposes of power control, channel priority, signal quality metrics, and much more. That’s what makes us safe to operate at muchhigher power and gain without risk of desensitizing the network.
