Bentec Gear Driven Drawworks are state-of-the-artfor modern drilling systems and suit for onhore oroffshore rigs. Their light weight and small dimen-sions make them ideal for frequent rig moves orlimited offshore crane capacity.

The electromagnetic brake is aircooled. Gearswitching and brake operation is maintained bycompressed air. Bentec Drawworks just need airand electricity. There’s no cooling water that couldfreeze, no hydraulic systems that could leak.

Bentec Drawworks are designed to operate underextreme environmental conditions. No additionalprotection measures are required.

A standard feature is the remote control via joy-stick. The Bentec ACS provides security againstany collision with the crown block, the rig floor orother obstacles in the rig. The Bentec Feed-Off-System enables automated drilling, emergencyhoisting and mast erection with just the emergencygenerator.

Bentec supplies its drawworks along with the SCRor VFD drives and the driller’s control cabin. Nointerface problems will occur during the commis-sion phase because Bentec acts as a “SystemSupplier”.
