    Described by her mentor Claire Martin OBE as “A wonderful singer with a great musical ear and natural jazz feel.’’, Fleur Stevenson presents Follow Me, the follow up to her warmly received EP. Throughout this thoughtful collection, Fleur’s sparkling delivery, honey coated vocal tone and deep affinity with the jazz idiom offer a refreshing take on both familiar and lesser known jazz standards. Highlights include a samba arrangement of King Crimson’s ‘I Talk to the Wind’ and a tender jazz ballad treatment of the Presley classic ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’. £15

    LEW TABACKIN TRIOJazz great Lew Tabackin returns to PizzaExpress Jazz Club for two special nights. Flautist and tenor saxophonist Tabackin is an artist of astonishing vision. His electrifying flute playing is at once virtuosic, primordial, cross-cultural, and passionate. His distinctive tenor sax style includes the use of wide intervals, abrupt changes of mood and tempo, and purposeful fervour, all in the service of showing the full range of possibilities of his instrument - melodically, rhythmically, and dynamically. £25

    THE GILES THORNTON JAZZ ORCHESTRA Giles set up his Jazz Orchestra in January 2018, in order to record his debut big band album, “Be In Today”, and had a successful launch at the Vortex Jazz Club, last summer. The orchestra is comprised of some of the UK’s finest jazz musicians, and takes influences from Maria Schneider and Gill Evans. The debut album, “Be In Today”, is made up of original compositions and arrangements, written by Giles Thornton. £15

    SUN 7TH JULY (LUNCH)

    BLUE HARLEMBlue Harlem have been widely regarded as one of the top swing/jump-blues bands on the London scene for over 15 years. Their last performance sold out at the club. They enjoy an international reputation - 2007 found them launching the 4th International Film Festival of Dubai and in 2008, they were personally invited by Baz Luhrmann to perform for the launch of his 1940’s blockbuster movie ‘Australia’. £16

    FEM BELLINGSouth African born vocalist and violinist, Fem Belling, is a rising star on the international jazz scene and has become one of Australia’s most formidable and in demand performers.     LARRY GOLDINGS / PETER BERNSTEIN / BILL STEWARTTOY TUNES – MUSIC AS PLAYSince 1991 Hammond organist Larry Goldings, guitarist Peter Bernstein, and drummer Bill Stewart have constituted what Jazzstation calls an “…unusual camaraderie of world-class players… Three of the world’s best players in the current jazz scene...” take to the musical playground to perform eight diverse, close-knit pieces that are a joy for the senses. £30

    MELISSA ALDANA QUARTETAs a child, Chilean-born saxophonist Melssa Aldana studied with her renowned saxophonist father Marcos Aldana (son of saxophonist Enrique Aldana, whose Selmer Mark VI tenor Melissa performs with to this day). She began on alto but after hearing the landmark Sonny Rollins + 4 she switched to tenor and never looked back. Other important influences she cites range from Don Byas, Gene Ammons and Lucky Thompson to Chris Potter and Mark Turner. £25

    JOEL ROSS GOOD VIBESChicago native Joel Ross has performed with historic and seasoned artists - Herbie Hancock, Louis Hayes, Christian McBride, and Stefon Harris - as well as with cutting-edge contemporaries like Ambrose Akinmusire, Gerald Clayton, Jon Batiste and many more. Twice selected as a Thelonious Monk Institute National All-Star and a 2013 YoungArts Jazz Finalist. £25

    BENNY GOLSON QUARTETBenny Golson is more than just a fantastic tenor saxophone player; he’s a legendary composer who linked harmony to the energy of bebop. He has written over 300 compositions, including ever popular standards such as ‘Whisper Not’ and ‘I Remember Clifford’. Benny Golson played in ensembles led by Dizzy Gillespie and Art Blakey. In his recent autobiography Whisper Not he has dedicated a section to his close friendship with John Coltrane. Golson still leads his own quartet. This year he celebrates his 90th birthday. £35

    Horace Silver was one of the all time jazz great pianists and composers. His hard driving piano style and distinctive composition approach, involving technical challenges and complex arrangements for his band to master, was disguised as “meaningful simplicity”. He created some of the most enduring tunes in jazz such as ‘Senor Blues’, ‘Song for my Father’ and so many more, in an extensive series of Blue Note recordings. £23
