BENNIE LAMBERT Bennie Lambert ’83, MsEd ’90, earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business and educational psychology from Baylor University, as well as his PhD from Texas A&M University. He currently serves as the vice president for student development at Lone Star College-North Harris, a 20,000-student community college in north Houston. For the past several years, he has traveled the country extensively, encouraging people, companies, organizations, and teams to reach their potential. He has served as a consultant for countless organizations, including more than 100 colleges and universities, several law enforcement agencies, corporations, and communities. He volunteers with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Junior Achievement, and Special Olympics. Lambert has also served on the board of directors of: the Arthritis Foundation, American Red Cross, YMCA, and Boys and Girls Clubs of America. Lambert has received the Distinguished Alumni Award from both Midway High School and the Baylor Black Alumni Club. Additionally, the Black Professional Cowboys and Cowgirls Association Inc. presented the “Living Legends Award” given annually to citizens who lift up their community, to Lambert. In a special ceremony, the Houston Police Department presented him with the Humanitarian Service Award on his most recent birthday.
