Freelance writing is one of the most recent careers in the current society.

Freelance writing is a career where one writes articles to companies or individuals for

pay. According Katz (73), freelance writing has come at a time when it is needed the

most. This author observes that freelance writing is one of the biggest solutions to the

rising unemployment problem in the United States, and that it is wrong to consider

freelance writing as a preserve for fresh college graduates who are jobless. Although

this career offers a solution to the rising unemployment in this country, it is worth more

than just helping the jobless youths. This is the only profession where one is able to

work from any place, at any time, and for the desired duration without the fear of

reprimand from the employer. As a freelance writer, individuals advance their

Freelance writing may have some risks, just as any other profession. According

the lack of security. Freelance writing is more beneficial to those individuals who

dedicate more time to it. Those who put minimal effort into it may fail to realize its

benefits. Similarly, when one takes a leave, there will be no compensation. As a

freelance writer, one should also be ready to pay for all the expenses like insurance,

house rent and any other cost associated with delivering quality work to the customer.

Furthermore, there are fraudsters who may take advantage of unsuspecting new
