6. What is the first obligation for the slave of Allaah?Learning the Tawheed of Allaah.

And the proof is the hadeeth of Ibn Abbaas: When the Prophet ( ) sent Mu’aad ibn

Jabal to Yemen, he told him, ‘You are going to a group of people from among the

People of the Book, so the first thing that you should call them to is that they worship

Allaah alone…’Al-Bkhuari and Muslim

7. What is the meaning of La ilaaha illaAlaah?There is none worthy of worship in truth, except Allaah.

And the proof is Allaah’s saying:

�ه� لل �ال� ه إ ـ �ل �ه� ال إ ن م� أ ع�ل ٱف ٱ

So know, that there is no deity that has the right to be worshiped except Allaah…

Muhammad (47): 19

8. What is the meaning of Muhammad ur-Rasoolullaah?

And the proof is Allaah’s saying:

�ال� كآف�ة� اك إ �ن ل س ر� ومآأ

�اس� �لن لAnd We have not sent you except to all

mankind…Saba (34): 28

Muhammad ( ) is the messenger of Allaah to all of the people from the Jinn and mankind.

All of us must obey him and believe in him and stay away from what he has prohibited.

And the proof is Allaah’s saying:

ط�يع�وا �ه وأ ط�يع�وا الل ق�ل� أس�ول الر�

Say: Obey Allaah and obey the messenger…An Noor(24): 54

9. What is the right of Allaah over His slave?That they worship Him without joining anything as a partner with Him.

And the proof is the hadeeth of Mu’aadh: The Prophet ( ) said ‘The right of Allaah over His slaves is that they worship Him, that they do not join anything as a partner with Him and the right of the slave with Allaah is that He does not punish whoever does not

join anything as a partner with Him’Al-Bkhuari and Muslim
