    1 - SCOPE OF SERVICE

This document describes the Service Solution for Benchmark Drive Tests for in India.

The aim is to provide with a comprehensive solution for delivering a complete drive testbenchmarking for voice and data.

The heart of the project is where the actual data collection via drive test and reportgeneration is done. The activities involved are:

    Data collection

Have capabilities to measure up to six networks in parallel at one requested location. Formeasurements with 5 (3 GSM + 2 CDMA) other competitive network operators will becarried out, total 6 operators.

All SIM card and call charges for the measurements will be handled by Operator. Theterminating PSTN lines will have to be arranged by Operator in any secured location in

    each location.

After completion of the measurements will upload the data to the file server, validate andanalyse the measurement data. Based on the formerly agreed scope a fully customisedlocal benchmarking report will be produced and delivered to . The report will contain a firstlevel analysis of the faults and problems encountered.

The tool will support 6 phones (Voice) + 6 phones (Data) + 6 Phones (Idle Mode)

The tool will be able to give MOS values using PESQ or SQUAD LQ.

The tool will be able to perform the entire data test including ftp upload and ftp download.

Drive test routes will cover upto 1000 kms in Category A cities and upto 500 kms incategory B cities.

The DT measurement period will be from 9 am to 8 pm.

The list of voice test will include:

    1. Call Setup Success Rate

    2. Call Completion Rate (Call Drop rate)

    3. Voice quality in MOS for DL and UL

    4. Coverage (Idle Mode)

The list of data test will include:

    1. FTP upload ( 500 KB file )

    2. FTP download ( 2000 KB file )

As per the understanding has a list of top 100 towns in India in all the 23 circles. Theseare subdivided into top 25 and remaining 75. Benchmarking for the top 25 have to bedone twice every year and the remaining 75 towns have to be done once a year.

In the 9 circles allotted to there are 49 towns from the top 100 of which 9 fall in the top 25segment.

    So will perform (9*2) + (40*1) = 58 measurements every year.

The list of the towns is provided below.
