    1. Checkforcorrectbladesandbalancing.

    2. Checkalldeckpulleysforwearorinconsistencies.

    3. Checkthatalldeckpulleysareonthesameplane.

    4. Idlersshouldbecheckedforproperangleoriftheyareoutofplane.

    5. Idler arm should be free to rotate and maintain correct belt tension.

    6. Makesurethebeltinstalledisthecorrectlength,partnumber,andconstruction,andhas no damage.

    7. No objects, such as guides, should touch the belt other than pulleys and idlers.

    8. Checkdeckforproperadjustment.Thisincludesproperheight,sidetoside,fronttoback.

    9. Inspect belt tension springs for damage or defects.

    10. Turnspindlesslowlyandlookforbentshaftsandpulleys,andcheckforbearingwear.

    1. Runatfullthrottle,bladesnotrunning.Noticeifthereisexcessivevibrationfromengine.Repairasneeded.

    2. Atthrottle,engageblades.Watchforextremebeltmovement.Repeatthisatthrottleand full throttle. (Some movement is normal.)

    3. Withbladesrunning,notethevibration.(Thisshouldbecheckedasthethrottleismovedslowlyfromtofull.)Heavyvibrationmayrequiretryinganotherbeltorrecheckpulleysand spindles.
