During this time of the year, I can’t help but reminisce a bit about growing up in Indiana and being outdoors on the family farm. Flowers were closer to blooming and more people were talking about gardening and their springtime plans. No matter where you live, the warmer weather brings us many great memories and opportunities to get outdoors, which is something that I am particularly looking forward to this spring. As you have already experienced, it does not take a change in season for us to see great initiatives and new opportunities at our Belmont Village of Green Hills community. The month of March is no exception. As always, our programming for the month will be nothing short of awesome. Plan for more opportunities to get outdoors and also get ready to visit some of the area’s most notable spots. Whether your interest is food, music, history, or art (or all four), we have got you set up for a good time. We are excited to continue this exciting trend by rolling out new amenities and hospitality services. One in particular for the month of March, will be valet parking service for our residents and community guests. The service is one that will bring a whole new experience for our residents and visitors at Belmont Village of Green Hills. Of course, convenience is a priority but our goal is to continuously bring premier hospitality services to the Belmont Village experience as well. Be on the look out for a letter from me with details about our valet service. Our new initiatives and community offerings are always based on the needs and circumstances of our customers. At the end of every day, our goal is to provide the best possible service and experience. We value your input and appreciate any time you take to help us make our community the best it can be. Sincerely, George Belmont Village of Green Hills Leadership Team

Save Your VisionThere’s more to March than

shamrocks and basketballtournaments. It’s also Save YourVision Month. Sponsored by theAmerican Optometric Association, this annual campaign reminds usof the importance of eye healthand regular eye exams.

It’s said that the eyes are thewindows to the soul, but they canalso be the windows to potentialhealth problems. That’s why it isimportant to schedule a yearlyexam. Regular visits to an eyedoctor will not only ensure yourprescriptions for eyeglasses arecurrent, but also check for signs ofconditions like cataracts andglaucoma. The early warning signsof other health concerns, such asdiabetes or high blood pressureand high cholesterol, can also bedetected by an eye exam.

In addition to regular visitswith an eye care professional, protect your vision by eating ahealthy diet that includes plentyof fruits and vegetables, usingappropriate lighting for readingand tasks, and protecting youreyes from harmful ultraviolet rays.
